Seems a big risk to me. Clearly has potential to be a good signing but evidence overwhelmingly supports him being injury prone. I guess we have to trust Joey based on his recruitment so far but could easily go either way. You mean 50% chance this way and 50% chance that way? šššFfs

With someone with a poor fitness record thereās more of a risk , the upside could be great like Jamie Shore *could* of been if heād of stayed fit but he was more likely to fail injury wise and he did . Itās a 50/50 gamble . omg Iām agreeing with GGMI š®

Its a risk for sure. But the thing is with risks have you got insurance?
Whatever you thought of Garner (and I thought he mightve had longer) the indefensible mistake was starting a season with Daly, Ayunga and Hanlon as our only striking options. Carreer league goals were less than 20- so expecting more was a total risk.
I think most of us would happily run this season out with Evans, Coutts and Finley for 46 games. If Rossiter is fit and better- great. But importantly, if he's injured- and were not on the hook, oh well.

His diminutive stature wasnāt in his favour as a midfielder, doubt heād ever have nailed down a place at Liverpool but heās still got plenty of miles left on the clock at this level. He's 5'10" according to Wiki, he's hardly diminutive in height for a L1 CM. 5'10" is not "diminutive" in any league for a central midfielder. Same height as Roy Keane and I've never heard him described as "diminutive".

Second youngest goalscorer in Liverpool Fc history and was captain of their under 21 side at 16. Obviously a quality academy recruit who has been brought up well at Anfield. Plus valuable experience at Glasgow Rangers too and well known by Barton at Fleetwood.

your all forgetting we have a decent medical team these days. Rossiter will be a success here Iām sure. Great replacement for Whelo I assume Fleetwood must also have a decent medical team? Not all medical teams are equal. For example I doubt many would have got Leon playing again although I appreciate some of it is on the individual

Not at all worried about any injury record. Heās obviously passed a medical and weve signed him fully fit, so very best of luck to the lad. Any player at any moment can suffer a short/long term injury, itās not some curse that follows some players round and not others. As mentioned our medical department are first class these days (as shown with Leon Clarkeās hamstring episode) so heāll be in great hands day to day with the rest of the squad.

On the other hand, as has been said, we've got known strength in the middle signed in already so not reliant on the new guy.

Rossiter being given 2 years and us paying a fee suggests to me we're confident he's fit. We'll have to wait and see but imo another very good signing

Well Coutts is suspended for the first 3 games so I hope Rossiter is at least fit for those games haha. Personally Iām a fan of a gamble tbh, they donāt always work out but every now and then you end up with a Billy Bodin or a Will Hoskins

Fleetwood would certainly not have put him on their retained list if they had any serious doubts about his long term fitness, unless they felt it was worth the risk. I would doubt it'll be a large fee. The Fleetwood fans group are reporting that Camps has also signed for us . Lets wait and see
