Attendances were nowhere near 20000 at Eastville in the 1970s. 7000-10000 was the average gate. Obviously this increased significantly for top FA cup ties.

Interestingly, our average attendance when we got relegated out of the football league in 2014 (6,421) was 500 more than when we got relegated from tier 2 in 1981 (5,929) and 700 more than when we were relegated from tier 2 in 1993 (5,745). That suggests that our core attendance is higher nowadays than it was at Eastville in the latter days and at Twerton (obvious mitigating factors). Our tier 3 promotion winning team of 1973/74 saw an average of 13,026 and that’s certainly within our reach if we ever get a new stadium.

Season ticket prices will rise significantly if Rovers were to attain promotion to the Championship. With the cost of living this would be a huge blow for a number of supporters. Makes one wonder what prices would be if we ever set foot in a plush new stadium!!

Season ticket sales now limited to family and east terrace only.. Rovers are keeping back a % of tickets for general sale. So all thatchers season tickets are sold out ? If so How do you know this ?

North Terrace sold out for FGR game but that is a mixture of S/T’s and individual sales. Based on greyed out areas on stadium plan. Club are saying that they are looking at selling more S/T’s for North Terrace from the Oxford game onwards.

So it would seem that the fact that we’ve sold out for FG is impacting the ability to buy season tickets online because it’s somehow mucking up the website ?

Have all season tickets for thatchers sold out ? Just been to ground to get mine club shops closed today. Pete has said on Twitter that they’re working on it… essentially the Thatchers has sold out for FGR now, so they can’t sell additional ST’s, but would guess they’re looking into how they could sort it for a one-off ticket in East / West terrace for FGR, and rest in Thatchers for those looking to still get ST’s See previous post regarding ST’s and sell-out vs FGR…

I do not want to be critical but these problems are being caused by overlapping S/T sales with match day. Probably need to set an end date for season tickets sales so it will not impact home matches from Oxford onwards.

Last year people were complaining that season tickets were taken off sale too early, damned if they do, damned if they don't. Personally, I think it's good that the club are look at ways to overcome this for the first couple of games, so that they can maximise the continuing demand for season tickets.

When he says our highest as a club, I assume he means since he has been at the club? What was the best at the Mem under Ollie, Trolls or DC? - even under those managers, I can't remember such a general feel good factor around the club as Waels investment has generated. Surely we had more at Eastville when we regularly had attendances over 20K in the 70's, it's not like s/t's are a recent development. Although it's probably the highest since Eastville's demise. The last years at Eastville were poorly attended. The poor old girl was rotting away as the owners let it go to ruin. Glad i was there when it was packed and exciting

Season Tickets have also been on sale for quite some time.

Does anyone know if they’re issuing new season cards or not?

Does anyone know if they’re issuing new season cards or not? I read somewhere that existing cards will be re-activated, with new purchasers receiving a card.

Does anyone know if they’re issuing new season cards or not? Only for new holders. I've had my card since they replaced the physical ticket book and kept the same card on renewal.

Be nice if someone from the club/ticketmaster could confirm this, strangely I was charged for delivery of a new card despite it being a renewal.

Didn't have that myself, neither did any of the rest of the family on renewal. None of us are expecting a new card.

Probably need to set an end date for season tickets sales so it will not impact home matches from Oxford onwards. That’s what I was thinking. Looks to me that ticketmaster have sold full allocation for FG game so it’s a sell out and now the club can’t sell anymore season tickets because if they did sell say another 2,000 between now and the game we’d have 2000 more fans than our capacity which could potentially lead to a massive crush. IF that is the case it’s a massive f**k up of epic proportions. All they had to do was say ok we’re selling season tickets up until 2 weeks before the first game and then match day tickets go on sell.

Last years card replacement was an exception due to the ticketmaster migration. Usual policy is that you keep your existing ST although I imagine they’ll change it if you move stands/areas or possibly from or into concessions.
