I do not want to be critical but these problems are being caused by overlapping S/T sales with match day. Probably need to set an end date for season tickets sales so it will not impact home matches from Oxford onwards. That’s what I was thinking. Looks to me that ticketmaster have sold full allocation for FG game so it’s a sell out and now the club can’t sell anymore season tickets because if they did sell say another 2,000 between now and the game we’d have 2000 more fans than our capacity which could potentially lead to a massive crush. IF that is the case it’s a massive f**k up of epic proportions. All they had to do was say ok we’re selling season tickets up until 2 weeks before the first game and then match day tickets go on sell. Or sell season tickets without admission to FGR, and so on as time ticks on. Would rather get a few hundred quid guaranteed from someone than risk demand remaining high. Plus, the Cat C games etc will be poorly attended due to timing / opposition, and therefore the guaranteed cash from a ST sale will be handy. On the subject of ST cards, they’ve said it automatically updates your existing card if you renewed within the renewal window, but will send a new card if it was after the renewal window. For reference, I’m an ST holder anyway.

You can still buy online for S/T’s but only the 2 areas left. Nothing showing for the Thatchers.

Does anyone know if they’re issuing new season cards or not? Only for new holders. I've had my card since they replaced the physical ticket book and kept the same card on renewal. You and one other i know are the only that i have heard say that as the club has/had problems when they switched to ticket Ba5txxd. I wonder why this worked for some and not others ? I know a few that were very stressed about being able to get in and i told them that just take your receipt and other stuff, like emails and they would get in, this worked and i don’t know of anyone who had real problems. Seems there are just some that get very worked up and very early on. I always had tickets sent by post, prior to online buying and sometimes would wait until last post on Friday but i knew i had proof of sale, seat numbers etc. seems you got lucky fella and long may it continue

See twitter from club Only 20 S/T’s left for Thatchers 75 for County Contractors 65 East Terrace Unfortunately i will miss a lot of games because i cannot stand up for the amount of time a match takes, i am truly gutted as i love the social side but what i plan to do is to turn up pre match and stay close by until end of game. Sometimes tickets come up for a seat but you have to be around. Don’t like talking about my personal stuff publicly anymore but i am very close to 59 years old anyway, so my back and knees aren’t great after overly long use of corticosteroids and i am dreading the ops to come. I’d love to have my time again and been more aggressive in asking for alternatives to the steroids but you deal the cards you get dealt, c’est la vie and all that . UTG

I’d like to know how anyones bought a season ticket today because you can’t online and the club shop is closed. I think in the 10 minutes between the tweet saying the number of tickets left and then Thatchers sold out, there were 20 for purchase. Assume they did a stock take, realised there were 20 more to sell without impacting FGR sales, and then they were obviously snapped up.

The risk is I’ll be in work on days where they go on sell and I’ll miss the boat on a few. I’ve got the first three match day tickets anyway.

If you contact the club tomorrow and enquire, it sounded as though they were looking at a way of being able to sell Thatchers STs following the FGR (and maybe Oxford) games. Worth a phone call to find the definitive answer.

Attendances were nowhere near 20000 at Eastville in the 1970s. 7000-10000 was the average gate. Obviously this increased significantly for top FA cup ties. Suggest you check the stats for the 73/74 promotion season?

I’m not blaming the club for me not buying one until now I have my reasons anyway. I’m saying that the club / ticketmaster had sold out FG game before they’d sold all the season tickets and it would at least appear that’s the reason it’s been impossible to buy a season ticket for the thatchers over the last few days even though the club has been saying there’s some left.

Thanks Tilly you obviously get what I’m saying and thanks Topper as well for your usual abrupt arrogant reply also it’s what makes this forum what it is I guess. I’m going to be at the shop when it opens in the morning , well half an hour before I reckon as there’s probably a fair few others who are trying to work out what’s happened. I’ve got matchday tickets for the first three games, bought online, bought today just the season ticket I couldn’t get even though it said there were tickets available. Hopefully I’ll get a season ticket tomorrow in person and then I can just sell at cost price my matchday tickets to some of the young lads at work who have become adopted Gasheads from working with me over the last few months. UTG.
