"If you receive the e-ticket option, any further purchases throughout the season will be sent in the same format, allowing you to save these to your wallet"
Anybody have a clue where this "wallet" will be, is it in Apple/Google Pay or somewhere else on your phone?

I wonder what’s prompted the change of plan? I wouldn’t be happy if I had to rely on e-tickets rather than my card. Is there a problem with TM creating new cards?

Thought the club had joined the green revolution. How can this be a good idea if some have to print tickets at home?paper ink and power. Not very eco friendly rovers it's an e-ticket which I assume you need to show on your mobile phone?

Not very eco friendly rovers I imagine most will use their phones? Recently been to festivals, gigs, train journeys, flights etc etc all with passes on my phone. No need to print, no need for plastic

Am affected by this as have had to move the area of the stadium have basically e mailed back saying pretty much you are going to give me a card. End of.
Not playing Russian roulette with ticketdisaster every 2 weeks waiting on them sending me a ticket.
As Tilly has said not everyone has a smartphone also.
Poor decision imo.

The only proof I've got is for my own, and I've got last seasons card. As I said my grandson doesn't look at his emails. Didn't even get a till receipt. The club are sorry for any inconvenience!

Looking forward to all the posters calling those who don’t want to embrace this luddites….
For me personally, this is a big step forward although I won’t swap over myself from my physical card until I can have a permanent one instead of one for each match.
I feel for those who aren’t as engaged with technology as I may be though.
And think the e-ticket per match concept will end in disaster when some season ticket holders don’t receive their e-ticket for a given match.

When I bought the tickets, I had to go to the club shop because it was too difficult to do it online. The club shop admitted this, and now the club roll this out with 12 days to go!

Would imagine refunds to be expected on the 2.50 delivery charge for a non existent item?

I reckon this is reasonably recent news to the club as I’m sure the guy in the shop put out a communication a week or two back confirming ‘new cards will be posted out week commencing 18th July’
Bloody ticketmaster !

The email I received says the club are going to issue a limited number more of season tickets, if that is the case and 300 supporters can be moved to other parts of the ground then the FGR game couldn't have been a sell out. i think the club were expecting this capacity reduction and allowed for it by keeping tickets back in other areas of the ground and being able to sell more season tickets.

I think my main issue is without a physical document of some sort you don’t really have the security of a season ticket at all.
What happens if game numbers 5, 11 14 and 17 tickmasters database goes down and when it comes back up your seat has been re allocated. It’s then your word with your game by game e ticket against some other poor sod who’s been sold your seat by accident that it’s actually your season ticket seat. You’ll not be able to prove anything as you won’t have a card all you’ll have as the same as the other person.
What happens if ticketmaster cease trading in November ?! Massively unlikely but you’ve not got anything guaranteed for the rest of the season as you are going match by match rather than having the card.
As one of the posts above mentioned it would be a bit better even if they are going down this route that they send you all matches 23 e tickets now rather than game by game.

"It is our number one aim that all season ticket holders are equipped with their tickets for the first game" I'm really worried now.

Yeah I don’t understand why it can’t be one e-ticket to use for every game (surely that’s what the card is anyway)
