I would condemn anyone shouting that kind of abuse. However I have watched the Gas for 60 years and even remember the 'Eastville for Entertainment' strapline. What Cotterill and Shrewsbury did yesterday in going to ground after every challenge, however innocuous, was criminal. Are they trying to kill the game of football? I paid £10 to watch on iPlayer and can honestly say it was totally wasted. The fact that the weak referee let them get away with it, and the fact that we were not good enough to overcome it, does not excuse the tactics. Shame on Cotterill...shame on Shrewsbury. I am now 100 per cent hoping you are relegated... hopefully to the national League in 2 years time.

I stand behind the dugout, and wholeheatedly condemn anyone shouting that kind of abuse. However, I did not hear this. I cannot say it didn't happen, but I didn't hear this. Is it possible something was misheard? Is it possible it is brought up to deflect from a team that went down, as if shot by sniper, anytime an opposition player breathed on them?

I thought having fans who wilfully ignored the managers history of being a scumbag was bad enough, but some of you making excuses for singing songs or making comments about opposing managers or players dying is beyond gross.
Some of you weirdos need to take a long hard look at yourself, and for the sake of society, don't reproduce.

I think it was as he was giving his interview. A group of 'middle aged men'.

Needed to rewrite this to make things clearer.
I was stood on the east terrace. Most of the fans behind the east terrace were berating SC about the time wasting and what was seen as cheating. I didn’t hear anything related to covid but I don’t have superman hearing so I can’t say it definitely happened or not.
However, what I did see is that when we scored, SC turned to the crowd for a full minute with what could be described as a smirk and making antagonistic gestures. People were shouting “you’ll be up on a charge for this, inciting a crowd” people were filming.
On reflection is what he said was said, I can see how he might take offence.
To other bystanders, it seemed mainly that the crowd had given a bit, he’d given a bit back. I clearly remember people shouting about how unprofessional it was.
It was a highly charged atmosphere due to the tactics of Shrews and there was certainly some bad blood between the terrace and Steve C.

With respect, no, I won't give it a rest. I'll give it a rest when that scumbag and evidently the scumbag element of our fanbase are nowhere near my club and we can be proud to say we are Rovers fans again. Until then, you and all the other Barton lovers can kiss my hairy arse.

I was there and I can tell you that the Shrewsbury bench were pretty provocative. Still, I suppose a long standing fan (since February 2021)would understand it better than me.

Same here - it might have been said, but I heard no chants and I was only a few yards away. Once again, though, I have to say that the Shrewsbury bench were very provocative, although that may have been after the alleged abuse.

Think S.C is setting his team up to get the best out of them he can , they are limited in technical ability so he sets them up accordingly , bit like GC did with us, with some success, can't make a silk purse etc come to mind,

I wish I had only been a fan since February 2021, I'd find it easy to walk away from this shambles. Not sure I said 'all' either but if the cap fits.
