This tells me Joey doesn't have faith in Marquis/Loft. Loft is work in progress won't set the world alight this season think next season will be his time. Marquis on the other hand has been a disappointment

Saturday 19th November 2022.
Home to The Posh.
Josh loves the Posh.
Played them twice in The Championship.
Scored on both occasions.
He has scored 6 goals from 5 starts and 22 substitute appearances.
Talk about PLANNING AHEAD.
Geniuses at work here.

This tells me Joey doesn't have faith in Marquis/Loft. Tells me Joey has spotted a replacement for the Geordie Maradona, who did not arrive until the January window; this fella could be in natch day squad by mid October, providing competition for places. With Lofty starting to score, it might be very difficult to leave him out. Only time will tell.

Watch the meltdown when and if we don't sign anyone dammed if you don't and dammed if you do just no pleasing some. I'm sure Joey knows what he's doing long term That is utter tripe .... cheap shot ! As you say sure that JB knows what he is doing ... always worried though when we sign players who have been injured let alone someone currently injured. If he is fit by October and can hit the ground running then it's a good signing ... if he is still struggling to be match fit by January that is not so great. How is being honest a cheap shot the player hasn't even signed yet and it's bad business. Joey would have done his due diligence so will know the existent of the injury and his recovery time

Marquis on the other hand has been a disappointment Imo Marquis was tremendous at Burton, header against the bar springs to mind, scored against Oxford, will score plenty when given the right service.

You're forgetting the forum rules - we have to create a new whipping boy every season! There was a coin toss between Marquis and Kilgour and Marquis won it! Although based on comments lately Antony Evans could be in with a chance of making the "top three"! FWIW I think Marquis hasn't yet received the sort of service he thrives on and maybe the new winger (if he signs) will supply that level of service - time will tell.

On the positive side with Marquis he has the experience which will hopefully benefit Loft and Collins we've already seen what an inspiration Wheelan is on the younger players

We don't know the terms of the loan but i am prepared to trust those in the know and those who are responsible for the deal, i assume everyone is in agreement that the deal would not be done unless those on whom the responsibility falls thought it was for the good of Bristol Rovers.? Trevor Clarke

Hopefully due diligence has been done .... my nagging doubt about our processes relates to Connolly whose fracture was a recurrence of an old injury, im not a medical man but did we miss it - I have no idea.

I agree I can't see why it wasn't picked up in his medical being the fact it was an old injury or it was and was used as a bargaining tool to get him at the club

I agree I can't see why it wasn't picked up in his medical being the fact it was an old injury or it was and was used as a bargaining tool to get him at the club Having had 3 major back ops in that area I can tell you stress fractures are not that easy to pick up unless he had a full MRI scan,it also sounds like it was an old injury that had healed and then recurred not unusual for lower back injuries. So I don't see this as a faux Pas by our medical department.

I will be happy with this one if it’s a season long loan. UTG. Injured for 5 weeks on a 4 week loan. 😏 Yea I wouldn’t be quite as happy with those terms to be fair 😂😂

Gives Rovers medical staff more work experience and improve their cvs and who knows we might get another rough diamond like Elliot Anderson to improve us come February.

Looks like our Twitter are getting ready to announce Coburn now with their 'burn baby burn' tweet Or is that useless centre back called Burn that we had from Middlesbrough a few years ago re-signing?
