Looks like our Twitter are getting ready to announce Coburn now with their 'burn baby burn' tweet Imagine the scenes when the return of Jonny Burn is unveiled!!! 😯 😬 Bartons old mate Wes Burns would have been great but he is well out of our reach these days

Is this a full season loan? It’s not specified in the text I’ve seen.

Scratch that - the Middlesbrough release says season long. Good!

I hope I'm proved wrong and he scores lots of goals for us, but I did raise my eyebrows when I saw we signed another striker.
We've got our front two of Marquis and Collins who will score goals for us, and we've got two decent options off the bench with Loft coming into some form and Saunders providing us with some work rate and energy. Did we need another guy on top of that, who won't even feature for the next 5 weeks? Who will make way so that he can be in the team?
Anyways welcome to the Gas Josh, look forward to seeing you play when you are back to full fitness.

It all depends on if he gets fit and firing in a month or so, because if you asked would I take a striker who is on the up and has scored 4 in the Championship last season, then I’d definitely say yes! The injury makes it a risk as we have a few others out too.

I can only say with confidence that I think Collins is good enough. The jury is still out on Marquis, Loft and Saunders for me.

Think Collins and Saunders will mainly play as wingers/wide forwards this season and Marquis/Coburn (when fit)/Loft will compete to lead the line. We’ve also played two up top with two wingers at times this season, so personally think we need the number of options we have considering there’ll likely be injuries, suspensions, dips in form etc.

That sort of quality could tear up L1 defenders Due to the beauty that is the English language, that statement actually makes sense whichever way you read it!

We don't know the terms of the loan but i am prepared to trust those in the know and those who are responsible for the deal, i assume everyone is in agreement that the deal would not be done unless those on whom the responsibility falls thought it was for the good of Bristol Rovers.? Trevor Clarke Yep ,played well at Plymouth, looks like JB'S pep talk/ rollicking did the trick and he is ready to prove his recruitment was another good one.

That sort of quality could tear up L1 defenders Indeed. Another exciting player willing to drop a level to play for Joey Barton, very astute and certainly not luck, just like Elliot Anderson 🙂
