Sat looking at the Fleetwood badge on the big screen, it is awful...the proposed options were just as bad.

The club clearly have an agenda and it's about time they came clean and told the fans why they are hell bent on changing the crest. There was previously no drive by fans for change. Time for the board and media dept to explain themselves There could be a much bigger picture...but I would bet there is not. Would make some sense if rebranding was being done alongside something like a stadium build, otherwise what is the point. Our fan base is happy with crest as is.

I would of thought it be wiser to start building a Stadium before we thought about rebranding .........new stadium with a new start and then a new crest. Something meaty and with empathis on our club nickname of Pirates

Is it just me or does it seem the club had already decided what they want to do and are merely paying lip service to appease us? Dreadful attempt regardless. The club are fibbing to put it mildly to suggest they are consulting without an agenda. Any visit to the club shop will show that over 50% of mercandice is already branded with exactly the "PROPOSED" logo. Sad times, reminds me of Cardiff blue birds proposal by new owner to play in red

I also noticed yesterday in the club shop a certain amount of branding with the skull and crossbones. As I came out of the shop I bumped into Tom Gorringe in the car park. I asked (well actually a lot stronger than asked) that he didn’t change the club badge. From a very brief conversation I definitely felt that he believed that the club badge had to change as from a marketing point of view it was too detailed and had to be changed to something simpler. My view was that even if that was the case it is the best badge in the country and should be a marketing man’s dream. I was left with the impression that the decision had already been made and that the current badge would go.

I was left with the impression that the decision had already been made and that the current badge would go. Confirms what I suspected. I’ll leave my thoughts on his stewardship at that he should focus on making a legacy in ways other than our image. Not everything is broken and in need of modernising. Can you imagine a CEO taking over and complaining that the Manchester United or Liverpool badges were too complex. I understand what he’s getting at but there are so many ways to simplify what we have. Flatten it out, move the sword around. Put it on a new shield or something. It doesn’t need to be chucked out altogether. I’m sure someone will be along to say it’s only a badge. Maybe. But if you’re willing to give up that perhaps the quarters will be next because it’s difficult to get shirts with quarters produced. For what it’s worth I went in the club shop yesterday and noticed skull and crossbones everywhere. Looks good on merchandise but as a club badge that’s a whole other matter.

The club are advertising new products for sale currently. If the crest is changing why would anyone buy these products ?

Any skull design can be compared to any other - I don't understand why the sensitive souls on here immediately jump on the 'oh its like a Nazi badge'. One of our nicknames is literally ‘The Pirates’ so it’s not exactly out of the ordinary to have a pirate as our badge is it. And here's me thinking that pirates used a skull and crossed bones flag

I have a cunning plan.
Sell the naming rights for the new stadium to BMW for gazillions. We will incorporate their logo in to our badge and playing kit.
Sorted.
PS. Don't change the badge.
