Didn't look like a foul from Kilgour on ifollow. Hopefully we can appeal and escape or reduce the ban Have we ever won an appeal before?! Wouldn't surprise me now if they end up looking at the Finley incident and hand him a three match ban too! Rossiter still has one more match of his ban to go so that's three banned for Saturday! I count five defenders now missing for the weekend. You could even argue six as Anderson has filled in at full back this season too. Forgot about Grant as well so that's seven?

Sorry if I missed it, but was Loft injured last night?
Seems odd otherwise not to be in the squad
I don’t think I’ve ever known such an injury prone squad in my time of watching!!
Just in defence that’s
Gibbons Gibson Connelly Grant
Possibly our first starting 4 if fit!!
I’m dusting down my old Puma’s for Saturday

On another day Anthony evans scores a goal of the season contender and we can start describing him as mercurial, Clarke and Hoole grab a goal each and suddenly we’ve gone to top of table Ipswich and the smash and grab is on! The results will come, I still think this group is going to be fantastic! Utg

I reckon the majority of us Gasheads will be happy just to see the team survive this season!

Ipswich had over 60% possession, repeatedly closed down the midfield to gain possession and many are worried about our defence. If we had 60% of the ball and were giving away goals then you would have to look hard at the defenders. I think the issues are more prevalent in front of the back four.
One tactic we got right was, a few times, the quick transition as Ipswich put players forward. Clarke, Macca and Collins did well first half. Not sure about the rest of the game plan.

Kilgour, Houle and Saunders are all National league standard at best. I feel it was very important that we signed an experienced centre half who can organise and actually win the ball now and again. Not got a chance of winning an appeal as Kilgour stupidly lost the ball and given the forward a CLEAR goalscoring opportunity and then did make contact with the player evn though it was minimal and the player went down like a sack of spuds. Why appeal anyway as we would be better off without Kilgour anyway. At fault with both goals and can't mark to save his life.Houle maybe young but he is terrible in possession and like Kilgour his positioning is poor.. I am confident we will be ok in the long term as when most are fit we will have a REASONABLE side and JB will sort it out. I get that you dont rate Kilgour you've constantly made that pretty clear but criticism over something that wasn't his fault is going a bit OTT. Not sure exactly how you can blame him for 2nd goal, Hoole loses possession and the shot deflects off Kilgour as he comes out to block. Sending off was extremely harsh as well but at least if he's suspended you won't be able to blame him for any goals we concede on Sat

It’s got a very similar feel about it.

We don’t seem to have a game plan , or perhaps we do but it changes weekly. When we got momentum up last season the team picked itself and it gelled as well as I can remember any Rovers side gelling. Can’t see that happening any time soon with the injuries and suspensions we now have though.

Customary big club cards plus the fact the institute of football refereeing are happy to throw Rovers fans under the bus to air their petty grievances against Joey.
They are part timers and that means they aren’t professional and that shows in all interpretations of the word.
Might as well stick all our team on yellows prior to kick off to do away with the facade.
That second one was comical. No need to complain, they will send us a letter with a massive middle finger on it and scour all 90 minutes to find any infringement they can to get one of our players suspended.
We need to be a good 50% better than anyone we play to offset this. We could do that last season in league 2 but last night, plus the absolute disgrace which was Portsmouth makes me think we need to get rid of an excellent football manager because the refs association are a bunch of wankers and can’t put their own ego away because our manager calls them out on their BS.
Any team playing us: Go to ground, the refs are primed to card our players, plus feel free to kick the shyt out of anyone who gets in your box because they won’t give a penalty.
I would be highly surprised if anyone doing the slightest due diligence on us before a match isn’t telling their players this.

We were always going to go through a period of settling in the new with the 'old' players.
Due to injuries, suspensions and Saturdays postponement at MK Dons (a decision I respected),this bedding in of our squad will take longer than expected, but not much longer.
I think we'll be more like it from halfway through October to the end of that month.
Abit frustrating, but it's something that 'was always' going to happen, only now abit longer than estimated.
Maybe a youngster will shine.Joe will learn about players in this time.
Hold our nerve,do ya best, show patience and look out for the improvement that personally I'm confident will come.

This season so far is almost a carbon copy of last. A poor start, players injured while others are off of their game, needless bookings and suspensions. It all seems so familiar. However we did show glimpses of what we are capable of and maybe with a bit more luck we could have nicked something last night. We will get better as the season progresses, but we need to weather the storm until that happens. UTG

Hard watch last night, Ipswich moved the ball slicker with more accuracy and passion than our boys. That said we had a really good spell before the interval. Need to dust ourselves down for Saturday with possibly Coots and Hoole at the centre of defence. Awful journey back to Bristol, which is unfortunately now a days part and parcel of motorway travel.

Hoole is a decent RB but will struggle playing with such a poor back line, he is young and barely has a full season of experience. We messed up not replacing the CBs. Gibson is a known injury likelihood so barely counts. Poor from Joey here.
Saturday, Id mix it up and go with
Clarke Hoole Evans Gordon ----------Coutts
As our defensive line!

Nah Let's go Rodman Westbrooke Clarke as a back three
