Hoole is a decent RB but will struggle playing with such a poor back line, he is young and barely has a full season of experience. We messed up not replacing the CBs. Gibson is a known injury likelihood so barely counts. Poor from Joey here. Saturday, Id mix it up and go with Clarke Hoole Evans Gordon ----------Coutts As our defensive line! Evans as centre back?? Blimey. Isn’t Egan a centre back?? I’d go Anderson Hoole Coutts Clarke Not ideal but hey ho. UTG

Could say the defence recruitment this year has been “negligent”? 😱 Bit early for the over dramatics , let’s see where we are in March / April before the ‘quotes’ from JB of old By the time January comes and if we carry on this vein of dire form and diabolical tackles, we could well be cut adrift. The football punters had us as coming bottom and i laughed but, looking at how disjoined we are and with suspensions galore, we will now have to start to get some points and quickly. Remember, this IS the managers side and he cannot say that it’s not his team. Come on JB, prove me wrong and make me eat lots of humble pie. I am sticking to 16th but that is more hope that reality. Initially, i thought we would surprise a few and get a result here but, if anything, we looked much worse than our last games. Let’s see, i always wants us to win but do not believe our manager has the talent, not without big money signings, that ain’t gonna happen here UTFG

Loft picked up a knock in a squad training match last weekend when the MK was postponed hence not available last night might make Lincoln on Saturday

More pace than Coutts and Whelan Anderson will be out injured. Can we bring Egan back from his loan? At least as cover on the bench

We were never expected to get points here.
However, we’ve been robbed of at least 2 by that ref at Portsmouth and that excuse for a football match against shrews.
We wouldn’t have this pressure if officials had done their job.
It may give a little hope given we are in a false position due to these incompetent idiots mistakes. You have to hope we get some our way at some point.
No inquiries, these fkin charlatans swan off and pick up their money all the same.

No shock we lost.
Ipswich are top, taken apart most teams they have played and we are out of form and injury ravaged. We are going to be a work in progress this year.
Cant help but think that Whelan should have played last night, his footballing brain would have helped linked midfield to attack a bit better. His experience of playing in front of a big crowd would have calmed the rushed play down.

Isn’t Gibson likely to be available Saturday? I thought it was as much precautionary as anything that he’d missed out recently and was close to a return? Perhaps I’ve misheard somewhere?
If he’s available then him and Hoole at CB v Lincoln.

We seem to be on a bad run for injuries at the moment and suspensions not helping, especially when they are all hitting one area of the team. I’m confident that when the majority of them return and JB can get a settled side out we’ll rapidly improve and move up the table. A home win Saturday is vital.
The last time I remember such luck with injuries was when we had Gary Kenneth, Matt Harrold,, Seanan Clucas and Ollie Clarke all out with ruptured crucial ligament injuries. Possibly David Clarkson too?

The red card situation is worrying, blaming the ref each time is perhaps not realistic.
Thinking there is an anti- Barton conspiracy in place is bordering on fantasy.
Wasn't there the same pattern early last season, loads of reds until the players adapted. Wonder what the trigger was that forced the change last season?
Worrying at the moment, even the games they should be getting something out of are proving not to be healthy return.
Onwards, upwards.

Wonder how long Gibbons is out, some competition needed on the right too Didn’t JB say last week we were looking at around 4 more weeks for gibbons? So I guess that puts him early - mid October. We need him back I think to shore up that right hand side, I think Lucas struggled. But overall the biggest problem we have is a side that isn’t settled for one reason or another, we just can’t get any continuity at all.

5 wins in 26 at League 1 level.
Awful record. Spose League 2 is easy if you can get your mate to send you a Premiership ready youngster.

Useless fact of the day
We have played both the top 2 (Ipswich and Pompey) and bottom 2 teams (Morecambe and Burton)

Thia is third time during Barton’s management we have had double sendings off in just under a calendar year. Refs less tolerable or players indiscipline?
19.10.2021 Cian Harries & Trevor Clarke.Colchester U 1 Rovers 1. 07.12.2021 Sam Finley & Cian Harries. Rovers 1 Port Vale 2. 13.09.2022 Bobby Thomas & Alfie Kilgour Ipswich T 2 Rovers 0.
