Good chance it will be a restricted sell out, with the consequence of another ticket fiasco.

I got a message saying that I am not eligible to purchase tickets yet, presumably because the stand I usually sit in will not be open. So East Stand season ticket holders have been prioritised over West Stand and South-West stand, I wonder who thinks these things through before it goes live? Why would they not open the whole ground for an FA Cup game? Surely that isn't the case? It is. West side of stadium is not open Only thatchers and centenary side incl stand.

Tilly As I understand it you should be able to buy tickets in the centenary stand (not sure what actual name it has now) tomorrow as you are a season ticket holder. Seating Season ticket holders who’s stand will not be opening get a days priority (tomorrow) to buy tickets in the centenary stand before they are released general sale from Thursday.

Last time I sat in that stand I felt really ill after climbing the steps to access it, due to having a dodgy heart and knackered kidneys unfortunately. I'm just a bit "meh" about the club off the field at the moment, always seem to have to chase them about something. Not a criticism of the staff, as they do a fantastic job of sorting all the blips out, more so the people who make the big decisions without thinking things through thoroughly.

Sounds like you get a day to purchase a seat before general sale, but not someones season ticket seat if they want it! Overly complicated but should be plenty of space! EDIT - ignore, missed the last page of replies!

So basically Grandstand season ticket holders get first priority, before it's a free for all from 10am tomorrow for West & SW Stand season ticket holders along with, I'm assuming terrace season ticket holders, to purchase the remaining Grandstand seats.
If you're in a family group then good luck trying to get them altogether in one row.
If you're in any way disabled or elderly and so find the Grandstand steps unsuitable, then it seems the club is basically saying give this match a miss.
Surely just opening the west stand seating area can't cost that much?

Was hoping to take the whole family to the game, but will need seats (together) if I am going to do that. I guess that won't be happening then

What is the capacity for the "open" areas for the Rochdale game?
How many tickets have been taken up by ST holders?

I guess that won't be happening then I did manage to get 5 seats together in the Poplar Stand this morning when the seated tickets went on sale. But I did need to use the member IDs of my season ticket friends who don't need seats in order to do so (as my kids/missus aren't season ticket holders - this will be a nice treat for them )

Probably won’t be many after general sale tomorrow.

Think we’ll only get 4/5k for this game . No first round home tie in last five years has managed 4k. With three consecutive saturday home matches I doubt fans can afford all three.

We have not had the quality at the Gas in the last five years that we have now. When you think season tickets were paid for in July, other than drinks, programmes, 50/50s and food (I know that is a lot, plus the cost of living etc) but it is only an extra £10 for a match ticket - but it promises to be a quality match, even if a few of the second string are included. £5 for under 16 (18?) as well. I would have thought demand would be greater than 5,000 especially if it was marketed properly. C'mon Gas bring a friend and bring them to the party!

Don't usually go to early cup games, however this team are great to watch lately and i am going, got tickets this morning. I agree and if Joey or Wael used exactly the same spiel that this team is great to watch lately, when interviewed next Monday, it would create further interest. If people were saying we could have had 11,000 for Plymouth, then we should get at least half that for a cheaper FA cup game - if we don't it is in part due to the club undermining the competition with it's two sided stadium approach. It is a wasted opportunity to generate interest in the club in my opinion. If they promoted the game in schools, to UWE and Bristol Uni students and Help For Heroes/armistice, maybe another recognition of the NHS, with say £2 tickets for NHS staff, etc it would create a much bigger attendance. I suppose it is up to us. Go to work/school/college etc tomorrow and if any neutrals or fairweather fans watched the Wednesday game, say in the second half of the Plymouth game we played even better and tell them it is only a tenner/fiver for the FA cup game.

It will be interesting to see if the players' family and friends have the usual allocation of seats in the West Stand. Some of them bring small children with them, can't see the mums wanting to hike them up all those steps to the East Stand.

I’ll wait in hope that the Thatchers and East side sell out then they have to open the West side 👍
