They are a big club, no question about it, compare them to the sleeping giant of BS3 and there is no direct comparison. With the right manager they would be a definite force in either of the top 2 divisions. With historically big crowds comes entitlement, with a history of success comes entitlement. Get a good manager (anyone know where they could get one?) and who knows. More willing to accept their fans views than those of Muff who appear to forget they have spent the major part of their existence in the third division. Back to the game, great result, rode our luck in patches but what a stellar performance by Belshaw There was a time when Rovers and Plymouth were the only teams in the league never to be in the top of bottom divisions in the league. That was fixed when we both got relegated in quick succession to League two, but neither of us has ever reached the top League yet, yet...

Anyone else think this was a bit odd for JB to make public?

Great to see but surely doesn't do us any favours and helps future opponents.
(Sorry if this has already been discussed)

I'm not sure what to make of it, probably doesn't give away much really but just weird he chose to post it. Feels a bit like putting himself in the shop window. Hope not

The flip chart is a bit of an odd one. It looks you could wheel it out for any game. Nowhere does it say "try to close Bannon down", or "expose the centre backs' lack of pace" for instance. Does this come out for all away games?

Does this come out for all away games? Only bit that makes me think it could have been specifically for Weds is the bit bottom left that says 'SHOW THE WORLD TONIGHT'

Does this come out for all away games? It would somewhat dampen the impact if he wheeled out the same one for every game! Anyone that has seen Mikel Arteta on All Or Nothing (highly recommend) will know this isn't that uncommon. There's an infamous pre match speech he gives where he draws a brain and a heart to get the Arsenal team up for it.

There were other scenes though where he almost told the "story" of the game, which I think is what Joey's doing on this page. I can imagine him firing everyone right up while scribbling it down. Not sure how he's managed to do it without having to cross anything out mind - impressive. If it were me I'd be making mistakes all over the shop!

Yeah, fair play some of Arteta's knowledge was incredible. Not sure about the lightbulb routine though Good point about the lack of mistakes, must have been prepared beforehand

Maybe he is just smarter than most and knows what he is doing.

Great to see but surely doesn't do us any favours and helps future opponents. (Sorry if this has already been discussed) I thought that initially, but I guess it is fairly generic common sense for an attack minded team. The key for me is that it may not have been what Sheff Wed or indeed the general Sky viewing public were expecting and we gave them a good game as a result. I wonder how similar it will be at Derby?

Yes, that makes sense re maybe not how Sheff Wed expected us to approach the game. Post-game mind games and pre-match mind games going into Derby
