We've had better strikers but have we ever had so much strength in depth up front? The top 3 have been superb. The 2 bigger names have to prove that they "still have it" so to speak but if they do then we really are rocking and rolling.
Collins Coburn Loft Sinclair Marquis

Beadle, Hayles & Cureton when I first started watching Rovers was great but I agree more depth now. Also deep midfield options at the moment!

99/00 was a pretty decent attack with Jamie Cureton scoring 24 and Jason Roberts scoring 25 goals. Behind them we had the youngsters Nathan Ellington and Bobby Zamora. Mark Walters chipped in 9 goals from the wing.

We do have very good options at the mo, but it's not in the same league as 99-00:
Roberts Cureton Ellington Zamora Pierre
Edit: beaten to it by pirate!

This is the best striking options we've had for over 20 years.
As above the Beadle, Cureton, Hayles, Roberts, Guy Ipoua, Ellington era from 1996-2000 was great.
This is the best since then imo.

Zebroski Harrold McGleish Richards On another level! πππππ I had a lot of respect for Harold always gave his all, which I could ask no lore for, Richards also, a good skilful player who came through the youth.

Agreed, but all Harold seemed to do was concede free kicks, mistime jumps for headers and score penalties. To be fair to him, he was a neat and tidy player on the deck.

And he scored that screamer at Pompey in April 2014 to give us hope! UTG!

But can you really compare those four with a team which contained Roberts and Cureton? I had the privilege of sitting next to Harold Jarman the other night at a Rovers related dinner, just reminded me that he and Alfie Biggs would have watered on the four quoted.
