Pathetic. As is the excuses. Refs are poor. For everyone Manager has lost the plot tho. I'm not sure most refs would usually miss the foul on Connolly?

Seems in the build up to their goal one of our players ended up on the deck. Anyone see lofts red card and if it was one? Two penalty shouts turned down not on highlights (as per usual) With all the talk of fans boycotts, I honestly DGAF on a morality basis but Fleetwood apparently used to moan refs hated JB and it does seem they really do not like him. Regardless of what he attempts on the pitch, I do wonder if he has a future as a manager on the basis that officials hate him as much as some of our fans do. We most certainly have not got any breaks at all and get some really soft decisions against us and virtually nothing in our favour. So many points dropped from this….refs not punishing time wasting…..Portsmouth I remember Collins swiped from behind. I’m getting a bit tired of it….we have to basically be totally dominant to win games and NEVER get a lucky decision. That isn’t to excuse the terrible performances but we could be picking up the odd point if we got the odd penalty or crucial decision and we never do. just came on, 1st thread I’ve looked at since yesterdays game. Why and who the F##k are planning boycotts? Shall not bother reading any other Rubbish on here if this is the case. Only boycotting should be the pizza Rubbish. Not a pop at you, but if this is todays reading, there’s going to be a lot of fall out, and it’s Sunday, im here all day. Chuffing boycotts, 🔔 ends.

It was only a reference to previous suggestions of a boycott!

Can’t help looking at fixtures and I don’t know where 13 points to stay up will come from. Really frustrating and worrying in equal measures at moment. It feels like nothing is clicking at the moment and injuries/decisions and everything else from the footballing gods is conspiring against us.

There’s no boycott planned, that was my terrible use of prose. We have several posters who’ve not gone to games and have disengaged since JB took the helm. While this is quite lol given the dramatic and historic promotion, what I’m saying is that given some people really hate JB that much, it’s probably the case a lot of refs share those views. Expect more of this as if the refs get the smell of blood that they can relegate JB, they will ramp it up. They don’t care they’ll be taking all of us with them, this season has shown that he’s so reviled that there’s no limit to what refs and fans will do to remove him. Thus although I actually think he’s trying to do the right things, I am doubtful he can have a career as a manager as essentially he has a large group of folks who will bend rules and pressure to disadvantage him, which evidently includes opposition managers and clubs too. So it’s a self fulfilling prophesy. He may well be the right man for the job but if enough people disagree then decisions won’t go our way, ever

I am sure when the opposition lose to us, they talk about the ugly side of football that Rovers are good at, (off the ball Finley and Rossiter are no saints) and when their manager moans about incidents missed by the ref, the Gas forum moans about their manager being a whinger and a sore loser and their fans are delusional.
Fickle football fans are pretty much the same the world over!
Let's face it football has mass coverage and we can all review incidents in slow motion from different camera angles. The ref and linesman have seconds to view and make decisions. Some are right, some are wrong, some just utterly bizarre.
The old adage of evening out in a season (or over two seasons) seems about right. I'm sure we had more than of our fair share of 50/50s go our way in the tail end of last season, and a fair share go against us at present.
I would hate VAR to play a part in the games I watch. The players and managers make errors and shock, horror, the refs do as well. Over the course of the season, pretty much most teams finish where they deserve to.

Honestly give it up. There is no Barton factor in the decisions. Just excuses from the manager. He needs a win desperately. 2 more defeats this week and many will be calling for him to go. I won’t because it will take months to disentangle him from the club and mid season is no time to do that. Fingers crossed we pick up some points soon.

Perhaps when a team gets relegated they haven't evened themselves out? I can't see how any ref could miss yesterday's incidents as they all happened right in front of him, the goal, the Loft red and the two penalty appeals.

I think it's primarily some of the fans who talk about a Barton agenda from the refs. Yes, JB does moan about the ref's decisions quite often, however, I don't think many of us would say that he is only speaking the truth - a lot of the refs are awful, not just for Rover, but in general. He shouldn't speak out as much, however, as the person who always spoke out in Team Meetings, being the only fool to say out loud what everybody else was thinking, I can't really be judgemental on that!

I think some people will always be anti Barton and I definitely think it does effect match officials and FA disciplinary decision makers. It will hamper his career and have a negative effect on whatever team he manages.

Genuine question Irony epitomised as we were talking about the 82 moaning about how long it’s been since they had a penalty.

Thinking about it, the reason he was gaoled was Match fixing and that completely undermines all involved so I actually see some reasoning in why some would feel that way plus he really has not yet learned that, sometimes, the best thing is to say nothing.

Yes, i did get sacked also. I allowed myself to get personal rather than word things and reframe them, to be more acceptable and less acrimonious
