Just heard from my son in South Africa, he said he wondered why JB was bringing subs on after 20 minutes, didn't realise that our clocks went forward two weeks ago and that he was watching the 2nd half.

Get in. A home win and a goal! Finally. Well deserved.
Bogarde is some youngster. Lucky Villa
Hoole, Marquis and Loft made the difference. Ward very good too and Gibson goal line stop at the end incredible.
Coburn and Collins really off the boil tho. Evans unlucky to be subbed. All the good stuff came from him and Hoole before the subs.

One question? How the feck did that lot put 6 past Shrewsbury last week 🤷♂️They looked about as dangerous as Julian clary in a fight! I thought we gave them more than a few sticky moments. Well done gas much deserved and move on to next season now. Just wobble the heads of a few of the big boys coming to Mem in the next few weeks now, UTG!

There were supporters behind me who were watching results else where and getting all panicky when to me it looked like we were the only team likely to win that game.

COYB!

Teams at the bottom starting to pick up some useful results. Impressive Wins for Burton, Accrington, and Cambridge, and decent points for Oxford & MK.
I did the predictor a week ago and 48 was what we needed to stay up, so pleased to have reached that today with a hard-fought but deserved win against Charlton.
I think we might require another 1 or 2 points as today shows there will be surprises between now and the end of the season. Hopefully, we can pick up at least another 1 on Monday.

Deserved three points, sat back first half and they had plenty of the ball but did little with it. Second half with the subs on we were on top and got the pen, well dispatched by Marquis. Hoole deserved man of the match. It certainly is a Good Friday. UTG

Pretty mediocre mid table contest.
Always nice to win though
Thought Luca Hoole and Bogarde were both outstanding.
I think that win pretty much confirms our safety, with no real pressure now, not that it's an attitude I'd like to see, but we can pretty much put our feet up now and enjoy playing some of the big boys coming up and throw a few spanners in the promotion race.

He went down with a slight injury just before he was subbed so maybe it was for that reason. Thought he'd had a decent game overall.

Great result, which was long overdue with our recent home form.Luca Hoole was outstanding & Gordon & Bogarde we’re not far behind. Charlton had some tidy players but I’am still scratching my head on how they put 6 past the Shrews last week as they didn’t creat a lot going forward. Let’s get past 50 points with a result against Fleetwood Monday & we can start planning on next season .

Not a fan of JB but he got his tactics spot on today, some very hairy moments in the last 5 minutes but a well deserved 3 points.

I thought we were excellent throughout especially defensively the back 4 were all superb and restricted a side who had stuck 6 past Shrewsbury last weekend to virtually nothing. Hoole deservedly mom but that performance will do wonders for Connelly's confidence. I think that pretty much confirms our safety so we can enjoy the last few matches, 3 points on Monday to take us through the magic 50 mark will do nicely

Is four pages all I can manage? UTG. 3 points and one win away from safety. Wasn't a lot to debate. Think Joey's interview explained the tactics. I reckon the ref was bored in the first half and just couldn't be bothered to blow his whistle and was wanting something to happen as much as I was. A load of fans moaning about the manhandling of Coburn but think that was just Coburns inexperience. Marquis knew the tricks of the trade. In the last few months he's shown signs of the player that I remember having good games for teams against us

In the last few months he's shown signs of the player that I remember having good games for teams against us I thought the referee was alright. Much rather a referee like that than the referees we have most weeks who blow their whistle at every opportunity. Most of all he was balanced in not giving anything and ultimately gave us the penalty when the moment came.
