Fantastic tactics by Joey, fantastic all round performance, great officials, beautiful weather, three deserved points and umm...a partridge in a pear tree.
Absolutely mint result and a thoroughly enjoyable game.
UTFG and onwards and upwards. 🏴☠️🍺🇪🇸⚽️

Great result, which was long overdue with our recent home form.Luca Hoole was outstanding & Gordon & Bogarde we’re not far behind. Charlton had some tidy players but I’am still scratching my head on how they put 6 past the Shrews last week as they didn’t creat a lot going forward. Let’s get past 50 points with a result against Fleetwood Monday & we can start planning on next season . Surprised how poor Charlton were particularly after we haven't played for 3 weeks and Quansah was missing, although was it just a case of a team can only look as good as the opposition lets them look? It was strange to watch us at the Mem and never really look like conceding a goal.

Deserved win. Expected a bit more from them after they walloped Shrewsbury 6-0 last week.
Seen a few things across social media appears that at least two of their fans coaches never actually made anywhere near it due to traffic and turned back.

First double over the Addicks since 1957-58 1 0 at Eastville & 3 2 at the Valley when they were going for promotion and result kept them down !
Not a lot of people know that!

Just got home …
Well it was a master stroke in the end from JB.
Thought Luca was outstanding and had their 43 in his pocket. Gibson looked good at the back and would be a great signing if we do land him in the summer. Gordon also did very well.
Bogarde and Ward had loads of energy and when they swapped positions Bogarde looked great going forward with Ward tidying up.
Finley was ok … one great shot from Evans and a very good tackle but the rest wasn’t great.
When loft came in he handed out some punishment to their two aggressive CBs … Marquis added some guile … Aaron ran about a lot.
Good win against a very average side and confidence now going in to Monday … Away win any one ?

I thought the 4 at the back formation made us far more solid. You can see Connolly, hoole and gorden feel more comfortable playing with that formation. Charlton hardly got behind us for the whole match and that made them look very ordinary, down to a solid defence. UTG!!

Hopefully he hasn't suffered a further recurrence of his knee problems and just wanted to waste time at the death.

Spot on for JB who is tactically ‘lacking’ apparently. Did the unthinkable & dropped the main man, flooded the midfield first hour, unleash the 3 big un’s & snuck the deserved win with a really decent last 25mins when we opened up and took the game to em.
Echoing what’s been said before, how did THAT squad put 6 past ANYONE last week🤷🏻♂️they were abysmal, clueless even.
BIG JOHN HATES THE ADDICKS!!!
P.s 6 pages? FFS🤣🤣🤣

He was also lucky not to pick up another needless yellow after reacting to Evans not being given a foul, he really needs to grow up now he's captain.

Nice to keep another clean sheet at home, Luca Hoole played well and I thought Evans put another good shift in, some good balls and was unlucky in the first half, when the keeper made a good save.

Pretty mediocre mid table contest. Always nice to win though Thought Luca Hoole and Bogarde were both outstanding. I think that win pretty much confirms our safety, with no real pressure now, not that it's an attitude I'd like to see, but we can pretty much put our feet up now and enjoy playing some of the big boys coming up and throw a few spanners in the promotion race. Yep. Two middle of the table teams. Happy for that for us. Can we kidnap Bogarde and Gibson please?

I see Charltons coaches left London at 1030. Due to traffic and drivers break allowances they turned back as didn't expect to arrive until 4pm. Bank Holiday M4/M5 interchange and surrounding roads. That is pathetic organisation

Really positive feeling about the club once again after the FM Announcement, hopefully we finish this season strong and follow into the next.

Gibson on a permanent seems a possibility, whatever happens he's likely to leave Palace so unlikely to return on loan.
Bogarde is a complete unknown but I doubt he's ready to step up to Championship football next season. Villa must get on with Rovers as they were happy to play us at their training complex last week.

Everton innit? Whoever the club, get him on a perm! The lad is an absolute rolls Royce (JB’s statement from the off)

I think Gibson on a permanent is very possible, I’m not sure Everton will offer him increased terms and we’ll have to fend off competition to get him on a free transfer. Bogarde is a tricky one - I’m hoping Rossiter will be fully fit and he won’t necessarily be needed.
