Gibson on a permanent seems a possibility, whatever happens he's likely to leave Palace so unlikely to return on loan. Bogarde is a complete unknown but I doubt he's ready to step up to Championship football next season. Villa must get on with Rovers as they were happy to play us at their training complex last week. Everton innit? Whoever the club, get him on a perm! The lad is an absolute rolls Royce (JB’s statement from the off) No, he meant THE Palace. Barton nominated him for Knighthood 😂😂😂

Of the loan players Gibson - go all out to sign if we are happy he can stay fit for a good part of the season. Champ player at least Bogarde- let’s see if we can get Villa to agree to a year long loan and build our season around him.

I think Gibson on a permanent is very possible, I’m not sure Everton will offer him increased terms and we’ll have to fend off competition to get him on a free transfer. Bogarde is a tricky one - I’m hoping Rossiter will be fully fit and he won’t necessarily be needed. Bogarde is a far better player than Rossiter, IMO. I can't see he's done anything at Rovers to suggest he's a better player now, he's clearly got potential to be better but having potential and actually achieving it are two different things. I guess another issue is how many games will both of them play next season if Rossiter does manage to get fully fit. Although it looks like JB will probably have to replace Coutts.

Spoke to gibson after the game and he said he's loving his time here and wants to stay next season. Balls in our Court.

Yep. Two middle of the table teams. Happy for that for us. Can we kidnap Bogarde and Gibson please? What are the chances of signing them for next season? Either permanent or another loan. Gibson would be a great signing, for me he's easily a Championship class Defender, he's already played at that level when he was 19/20, Everton paid around £6M to poach him from Newcastle as a 17 year old if it wasn't for his injury record could even possibly be a Premier League Defender, if we could sign him permanently then what a coup. I wouldn't say it's out of the question. Bogarde just like Quansah are very highly rated at their clubs. I think they'll both be playing Championship Football next season.

Rossiter is similar to Gibson. At 17 he was scoring on his debut for Liverpool, and he was being compared to Steven Gerrard. His injury record has meant he's dropped down the leagues.

Great result, really needed that. Hoole was on a mission, lad put in a superb shift. Now, not meaning to stir things up but I'm not getting the Bogarde love in. He didn't have a bad game or anything but to suggest he's Championship standard, keep him to build a Team around him, etc, I don't think he's that good to be honest. Certainly no better than Rossiter or Finlay. In my opinion.
Lastly, before the coffee kicks in, I think Charlton Fans need to find a song, talk about quiet.

Everton being relegated could thwart a Gibson move as they may be more keen for him to stay in that scenario.

Sounds like a good solid win yesterday. I missed it as I'm away on holiday. Another good crowd. Maybe dropping Collins will give him the kick up th backside he needs to return to his early season form? Looking forward to the Derby and Sheffield Wednesday games with the pressure off now! UTG

Thought Bogarde was an absolute dream to watch in the second half. Glides around. Makes things happen. Looks so composed for his age and also makes some very good challenges Rossiter as good. Maybe better but will we ever get enough games out of him?

Exactly this .. Chatting yesterday about the loanees and was told this…. Gibson we have already started chatting about next season. Our medical team work well with him. Lined up as a potential captain next season. Bogarde… We would like him back but nothing spoken about yet. He likes it here and gets on really well with Grant Ward. Balcombe … Potential signing for next season - nothing discussed yet. Coburn… Surprised me as if Boro were to get promoted it’s very likely he will be loaned out again and not Championship ready. JB a huge fan ! Quansah… Will return to LFC - Never say never though as in his words he is about 6th choice at LFC. I chatted with Balcombe and Quansah yesterday and both really enjoy it here and say the team spirit is brilliant and JBs 121s with them also superb. Connor Taylor also mentioned in the chat. Money will be available and again I think we will try and bring some of these guys back.

He’s been sat on the bench for the whole season so every chance he’s getting to the stage of believing he will need to move on.

I think if we went all out and did achieve this, Beefy would get back to his best too and we could comfortably play a central back three or rotate them with injuries and be very strong at the back. Think it would take at least £300-500k to get Taylor though

UTG According to JB, putting Collins on the bench was tactical, not to give him a kick up the backside.

Loft really made a difference yesterday, his first touch was good and really unsettled thier defence. Just wish he'd be a bit more selfish at times, he deserves a goal. Think Marquis and loft look a sharper than Collins and Coburn at the moment.

Glad you mentioned Loft, I rate the Guy, excellent work rate and always gives 100%, and that was a great contribution yesterday, just what we needed.

Centre half just had an hour of grappling with Coburn, then Lofty, Big John & Collins enter the battle😂penny for their thoughts!

Think Marquis and loft look a sharper than Collins and Coburn at the moment. Agree. Bringing Loft on is like releasing a wild horse into a crowded pub. He’s a proper agent of chaos and it was nice to finally have a player on the pitch who wanted to run in behind Charlton and use his pace to stretch them, rather than wanting everything played to feet. Never gonna be the most cultured player but he must be a nightmare to defend against!
