so there I was, sat in a dodgy bar in Patong in Thailand, and yes, I knew City were playing at some point but was a bit drunk. From my long trip in Asia it was honestly great to hear that they still want to sing about us all the time. I had to explain to people what "stand up if you hate the gas" meant. I'm so happy we're still relevant and doing well + on their big day, live on TV, they can only sing about us. I do wonder what the final result was though?

Trouble is, we sing just as much about them, are you listening (watching) trashton gate. I know we have to have rivalry, I can't stand them and there bs sport but do we have to constantly sing about them? Why can't we just sing about our boys, we should sing more individual songs for our players, to motivate them, get behind them when not doing so well. How about it?

Considering they belittle us and claim we are irrelevant to them I find it highly amusing and somewhat comforting that they still feel the need to sing about us. It shows that they are still annoyed by our presence - and long may that be the case.

Love Phuket, you travelling jonjames? Haha, yes I am. And just about waking up with an almighty hangover and the realisation that I was all over the Internet last night. got to start hiding my phone when drunk. And yes, Phuket is awesome although at 39 I'm probably too old for this sh**! Off to quieter places tomorrow to keep the wife happy and myself sane.

Read a lot on here of "they're obsessed" etc on here yesterday, the irony was unbelievable. I think the poster a few above (gasfest) is spot on. Wake up - our fans are identical to them. We sing about them, talk about them and post regularly about them, anyone who thinks otherwise is cuckoo.

It's part of rivarly though. We're jealous of their league position, and they're enjoying that we are non-league. Every dog has his day, but both teams will always chant about each other, that's half the fun.

I wonder if Bradford City still sing about Bradford Park Avenue

Really? I didn't hear any chanting about their main rivals, arch enemies and the club they hate with such a passion?
I mean, I heard a few chants about Bristol Rovers for sure, but certainly nothing about Cardiff? I must be going be deaf.

There's always a chant about sheet at Mem - let's hope we aren't 3 divisions apart next season or it could be the end for us !

Having two clubs in our fantastic city, there is always going to be rivalry but I just wish we focused on our team more as opposed to them. Chanting about them is ok but it can become a little boring. We have some inventive fans at the mem, how about singing about the eleven that is on the pitch and of course, goodnight Irene. I personally couldn't care about them and only focus on the gas, best way, or you could be just the same as them, just wearing different colours. Remember our fans were always different to them but times change, sometimes not for the best. UTG

I've genuinely never heard more than the odd pocket of isolated anti-city chanting at the Mem.

With them they say we don't care and not their rivals etc but still sing loads of cap all match. Don't get me wrong I get fed up of us singing about them so much but for a team that doesn't care about us they do like to sing about us.

One example of them being obsessed, a guy who I work for is a not attending city fan, he knows everything about them but he goes on our forums and knows all about us. I have never been anywhere near there forum, do they have one, I presume so. So to say he is obsessed with us is true but how many of our fans read their forum, I wonder.
