Ok I'll start the thread ggmi.
If we are going to protest we need to be properly organised. It needs to be peaceful and legal. We would need to notify the police before the protest to keep it legal.
For it to be effective we would need to turn up in numbers and have the media on our side.
Any suggestions???
I personally like supergas's idea. See below.
Please don't suggest anything illegal or that might provoke un-responsible behaviour, there is always a small minority that will think it is a good idea and do it.

I think a coordinated event could have some interesting PR results...this is not a great one but it's the best I can think of at the moment...loads of Rovers fans at a particular shop, all buying exactly £30 worth of stuff (representing the £30M they owe us), all paying in 1ps at the tills and self-scans and taking a bloody age would be a metaphor for Sa*nsbury's slowing down the payment they owe...
Sorry super gas have had to censor part of your quote as I believe their name is a swear!!

You think this isn't a good way to legally protest? It's a stunning idea! imagine 5000 gasheads all dressed in their quarters going through the tills 1 by 1 they would lose loads of customers who don't have the time or patience to wait. The only change to your plan I would make is buy 30 items and put them through the till and pay per item. Thus holding cue up for the whole day and not needing to give the
wan*€rs a great deal of money.
The best part of something like this is it could be co-ordinated over several stores we have gasheads all over the uk I'm sure we could cover quite a few.
I for 1 would be up for something like this but it would only work if the masses turn up.
Henbury Gas suggested
buying items with debit card to make sa*nsburys pay 19p per transaction.
Once again please don't suggest anything illegal or that might provoke un-responsible behaviour.
