30 Items in a trolley inc deli items, rotisserie items, fresh fish and various other delights. Get to the counter and simply say i've forgotten my wallet/purse. A hit could be 10/20 people at a time to make an impact/statement.

How about staging a game of footy in a sainsburys carpark or prominent local space? If we could get enough gasheads for a mass kick around would raise awarenenss, pickets for goalposts...

What about buying some of their clothes with small change & then all take them back for a refund they will have to honour their no quibble policy

TU clothing refund policy What is your refund policy?
If you've bought a product from one of our stores and changed your mind, all you need to do is return it in its original condition to any Sainsbury’s store with your proof of purchase within 28 days, and we'll be happy to give you an exchange or refund.

mjhgas what are you thinking go somewhere else. A lot of good suggestions on here but we do have to stay legal and responsible. I like the idea of filling trolleys with non perishable and just leaving it in an isle with a note saying sorry just changed our minds. Game of footy in the car park would be good. But would cause a nuisance to people actually shopping. Buying clothes with pennies is good as long as we can get refunds. When they ask for address give the details for the mem saying sorry we just changed our mind. Or even better just do all of the above. If we stage a march we have to tell the police. If we are a static protest we don't. the difficult part is that it is technically private property so best to protest just outside the gate with regards to the game. Above all if we protest we have to stay within the law and do as we are told by the police!

1)Buying £30 worth of goods in penny's wouldn't work . They can weigh the coins and you would be through in seconds. 2)Plus they would make loads of money. 1)Only if you let them count it! 2) then they might be able to afford to pay us! It's pointless anyway your only gona water off some checkout girl on minimum wage. the big wigs won't give a toss .

This is the most rubbish idea I have ever heard of.
Why upset the Judge at this late stage with just 6 weeks to go to the Court date. I hope Sainsbury see sense and pay up, even on the Court steps.
Whoever thought up this idea needs a serious look at themselves and if it is the Board behind this, sham on them.
Protest all you like AFTER the Court case, but leave out action for the next 6 weeks.

Do you really think that this will upset the judge / any of the court proceedings. Considering all the evidence has been put in now anyway. If we wait until after the courts have made a decision do you think it will have any impact?? It may well p155 off the poor checkout girl bit sexist I might add long john silver but by doing any of these suggestions we are costing them money. And all they could do about it is ban a from a shop we won't use anyway. As this forum runs as a democracy what do we all think?

Surely the point if doing it now is to show sainsburys we are not some easy push over parish council ?

The point is that the press love this sort of thing & the more bad publicity we can get against Sainsburys the better

I agree stokegiffordgas if that means we have to waste their staff's time then that's what we should do surely. Wasting their staff's time will impact upon the service which they can offer to other customers. To be honest, if I wasn't a Rovers fan, and was affected by this sort of action, it would be the perpetrators that I would be pee'd off with, not the supermarket. I think that it's a dangerous line to be treading at the moment, and could well backfire with negative publicity for the club.

Good point ms2608 do you have any suggestions that wouldn't affect the minority paying public around the Filton sa*nsburys?

I think blocking vehicles, store entrances and obstructing trade at the tills would have the Rozzers out in force before you could say "Arthur Scargill".

My only fear about any sort of mass protest is that if some of our pony punching fans turn up, it might turn into a non-peaceful protest

Obviously keep it legal, and dont P1$$ off the public but I've just written a lengthy email complaint via their contact us site www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/contact_us/contact_us.jsp#And also rang their customer services department, basically asking them if they honour their contracts and comply with the ethical image that they portray. I've asked for a response - not holding my breath but if enough of us do, the message may filter up the chain? Get going on twatter and any other social media - get this issue trending.... Secondly, would be good to create a large banner adopting the sainsburys logo and font and strapline to include 'Shamesbury's - try honouring your contract today' basically an adaption of their usual 'sainsburys - try something new today' campaign. Would look good in the press and on TV. Thirdly worth writing to HQ directly to the management and board: They are David Tyler - Chairman Mike Coupe - Chief executive John Rogers - Chief financial officer Matt Brittin - Non-executive director Mary Harris - Non-executive director Gary Hughes - Non-exectutive director John Mcadam - Non-exective director Jean Tomlin - Non-executive director Susan Rice - Non-executive director I guess well written letters, with good rational argument could be sent to all of these at the following address: Head Office, 33 Holburn, London EC1N 2 HT, phone number 02076956000. if enough of us do it they may start to listen. these are the only one's witht he real power to chnage anything, our issue may not even be on their radar. Any london Gas could go along to their Shareholder Annual General Meeting, I guess you could buy one share to gain entry (I may be wrong). the last one was on Wednesday 9th July 2014, so I guess this year's should be around the same time. Already protests for different issues at last years - why not us this time? www.sainsburyscampaign.orgMike Coupe is the sainsburys cheif executive - he has a blog www.j-sainsbury.co.uk/blog/2014/12/mike-coupe-20x20-sustainability-plan-update/Worth adding your very legal and well written thoughts onto his blog? the above has got to be worth a try? cheers.

Re landersgas comment. do you have a copy of the email / customer complaint you sent to them that you could post on here we could mass email the same message. I'm not the best person to be writing letters things like that. But I can keep my cool when it comes to a sitting protest.
