I know the chances of winning the league will be pretty good if we win our five games but I really think we should be going out with a team that will not only win a game but win it well. It will be no good going into the last game on the same points as Grimsby if they have a better goal difference of 3 or more. It will be too much like last season where Goal difference sent us down. There is no reason why we should not set out to catch up the 8 goal difference with Grimsby. Barnets goal difference is slightly different as it is uncatchable and therefore we have to pip them on points .

Apart from Macclesfield we have not tonked anyone all season, i think the chances of it happening now steve are very slim.

Don't agree, personally.
We've got to where we are by being a solid, hard to beat side.
To suddenly go all-out attack in the last 5 games to make up a GD gap that would be very hard to bridge would be wrong, IMO.

Dont worry Steve, Taylor will score 5 hat-tricks.

There is no way we will close the goal difference gap now so quite simply we must win and I don't care if that's from a fluke own goal or from a bizarre inaccurate Puddy goal kick that hits Blissetts left testicle and rolls in.

Forget about goals. It's too late for that. It's all about points, now.

We need to sodding concentrate on one thing - Winning! To do that we will obviously need to bleedin score, but we aint gonna score a hatful. Whether you like it or not our dogged, determined style has got us to the bloody verge of going up first time. The best we can hope for is to get some lucky breaks that give us a few bleedin bonus goals along the way.
Points make sodding prizes and i don't give a gnats ass how we get them. As for going for it 100 mph attack, attack, attack......got more chance of Brady getting her tits out in one of my briefings.

I know what people are talking about getting points on the Board but it will be a great shame if we get to the last game and find that we need to score 7 or 8 goals to pip Grimsbya and wqe will wish we had approached the games before to score goals.

We only need to be above Wycombe on goal difference to stay in the league so I say Let's go all out to get some more goals in. I mean Jamie Lucas has just come back from a broken foot but he's a goal scorer if ever I saw one. Stick him on the bench and give him half an hour each game.

Yes, that's Matty Taylor

I'm sure Clarke sets us out in every game to score goals. I can't imagine he ever sends the players out for a game and says "lets score as few goals as possible today then lads." But you have to have a balance between attack and defence, and the table suggest that DC has got that balance pretty nailed on so far. There's nothing to say that by going more attacking we'd definitely score more goals, but there is an obvious risk that we'd concede more goals. And then we'd lose out on points.

Hear what your saying Steve. But I think we should focus on winning the next game ....then repeat the process. Same as last season we will end up where we deserve to be. Our finishing this season has been awful, Stephen Hawking could of put some of those away.

Because that's what we have had to put up with for most of the season. When will we as Rovers supporters and THE CLUB raise our expectations and when we are 1 up against a team who can't even get the ball anywhere near our goal EXPECT and DEMAND that we carry on taking the game to the opposition and go out to win by 2 or 3 or 4 goals. Even if they don't manage it - don't we want to see the players TRY and SCORE more goals ??

Yep, stick an inexperienced 19 year old kid in at the deep end. Just what is needed t this stage of the season!
