Hello Dover fan in peace here. You have been allocated the bigger stand (the Dover end) which holds 2,000 and the Family stand which holds 224. There is the option for a further 541 fans to be accommodated in front of the Dover end stand. I suspect you would be given extra tickets if you sell out your initial allocation. This would give you a bigger allocation than the home team (same as Crystal Palace earlier this year). It is simply not feasible for you to be allocated any further tickets than this due to the lay out of the ground, even though I’m sure most Dover fans would be happy for you to take even more of our allocation, even our bar! Please don’t be that disingenuous to expect us to do more than what we can do as we must act under Police advice. As you say, it’s our cup final, so for a very (part time) set of minnows, we genuinely welcome you to our ground. I suspect your visit and our last home game of the season also encourage some of our fair weather fans to also come out and watch us (and you) play. Given that our initial ambition at the start of the season was to finish 5th bottom (or better) we have reached that aim and a little bit more. Enjoy your day with us and may the whitest best team on the day win! Thanks for the info Just to be clear... 1- we had not been told of a possible extra allocation, nor anything to do with police advice. 2 - my main bugbear is that we might as well be offered the extra tickets now (unless we won't be offered them of course!). We sell tkts first to ST holders, then next to supporters club members, then general (& there are also a few caveats I won't bore you with). I know what will happen. By the time it gets to priority 2 fans the seats might be sold out so someone might buy a terrace tkt just to make sure of having a tkt. Then dover might release more seats (is that feasible??) but too late to let some get what they really want. I realise its hardly the end of the world but just seems so inefficient to me, and of course some people really do need to sit down. 3 - sadly this is already starting to sound like kiddie where the ground will be only 2/3rds full but some gas won't get tkts. Again, I can appreciate that it's probably the perfectionist in me that thinks that is just such a dung way to organise life. It's only a bleeding football match but kiddie are looking at it like world war 3, and getting snippy about having more away fans than home. Fact - There will be more away than home at both matches even without the two clubs fulfilling our demand so I feel that argument is 'disingenuous' as you say. If you don't want to fulfill our demand on a totally one off basis then you can do that, but seems nonsensical to me. We just want to watch a game of football and rightly or wrongly people will try to get in anyway. I'm big enough to admit we would have probably taken 600 on a November day, but it isn't a November day. It's the last away game of a season where we've actually had a bit of 'success' and will be in with a chance of automatic promotion. P.S. any gashead who thinks we will struggle to sell 2233 needs to take a reality check. )

There are bound to be Gasheads who wait to see how important the game will be before buying a ticket. Like Kiddy, I can see a mad, last minute scramble for 1000 tickets. Get 'em early Gasheads!!! Hmmm. It was hardly a last minute rush though. We sold out 6 days before the match, and some people already regretting not acting faster.

BTW - can any fans with a soft spot for Bath City remember the rivalry they had with Dover for several years!
Not sure if that makes me nostalgically happy, or sad at being in the 5th Tier.

Can someone update on ticket sales here?
I am going to go just trying to arrange who I am taking with me before I buy tickets.
Also, how many tickets can you get if you have priority?

Think it's just Folkestone to Dover the bus,but I think we're all staying the night in Folkestone,20 minutes away by coach so no big problem.Gasfred can maybe remember the details as I'm usually drunk when I book.

Anyone know what hotel they are staying in? Tempted to stay on the Friday night and have a few drinks, would be good if there were other fans there.

Thinking of doing the same with the missus but might stay somewhere just outside and travel to Dover on the Saturday. Will let you know if we end up staying in Dover.

Plenty of fans will be season ticket holders, helpline members and supporters club members - I expect you can get one ticket per membership!
