If I make the trip up to Nailsworth tomorrow to buy in person, do you think they'll do the database cross check there and then?! Presumably not. If the posts in this thread are accurate, it would appear that you can just rock up and buy.

Presumably not. exactly. and, assuming how busy our ticket staff will be / should be I'm not convinced these checks are happening anyway. Who is going to do it when we are busy selling 11,000 tickets in 3 or 4 days, and other staff are presumably getting a programme ready, sorting out hospitality, sponsors, stewards. Police, etc! Remember NONE of this was part of a regular season work plan. Look, there really shouldn't be a 'problem'. There is no history between us. No animosity. 100's of non-lge games pass by every weekend, with fans just watching a game of footy, hoping their team wins. Although I do hope that David Pipe doesn't score a last minute penalty, minutes after Coles mashes up one of our players and gets away with it, as usual...

Say your name is Alfie Biggs, Memorial Road or something, see if they notice.

Don't think they'd even notice!

I've got the afternoon off work to go up there tomorrow. Got a mate who lives in Malmesbury and going to use his address.
I'm going to this game one way or another.

Saying that I've already got my ticket in the home end!

Supporters buying tickets must have purchased tickets for a previous Forest Green Rovers match. Anyone who does not apply to this will be cross referenced with Bristol Rovers ticket database so no away fans buy tickets in the home section. This may mean a delay of up to 24 hours however once it has been checked and cleared your tickets will become available.
I much prefer the old 'quizzing you about the team' method. They've starting doing that as well...... From the Forest Gump Forum

To be fair if they want the stadium half empty for one of the most important matches in their history, shred away!

The joke is on them though and they look RIDICULOUS... why? Because those tickets are FAKE. If you look closely, nothing is printed on them; they are all blank. Nice try FGR, but we're not falling for it. Buy at will lads!!!

difficult one this and i may get slated but ,no club in their right mind would sell more away than home tickets for a playoff game, if you go by the 10% rule we were sold more tickets than 10%, all we need to ensure is that they also get the bare minimum for sunday, pack the mem ,make it intimadating for fgr team, oh and buy food n drink on weds but not in the ground

Yeh we probably could have sold close to 4,000, but that's not really the point. If it were Kidderminster, you'd maybe question why they'd turn down the income. But FGR aren't short of money, plus they have a chance of making it to the Football League where they will make even more money. The fact is that the more support we have there, the greater the edge it gives us. And why would they want to give us an edge? Yes we could sell more tickets if we were offered them (easily), but unfortunately the situation is what it is. At least it's on TV for those of us who can't get a ticket. UTG!
