I thought it was a banger that started the fuss? In any case it's still an issue with the prick chucking the flare rather than the flare.

Just the fact that the authorities - or any of us - have to have a view on such a thing at all is depressing. Unless you really think a smoke bomb can set light to solid concrete. Is there anything at all now that isn't "worrying"? The infantilising of adults in this country continues apace.

Totally different circumstances, to the uk, and the problem is some people who read the board wont see the difference suddenly think this was done here, not having a pop but it also puts the flare at the mem in perspective

"are they really that dangerous?"
They are safe in responsible hands.
Responsible hands don't bring them/let them off in public places.

I wonder if Barnet will get a points deduction for invading the pitch? yes. Um, 2 points sounds about flare, I mean fair

One way to get them in the ground as well. Well you jest but... I lost some hair in that sure but what you get out of life ultimately I believe is the most fun you calculate to be worth it's equivalent risks. A lot of people want to reduce the risks in life to zero, that's why we have all these quotas and inspectors and they're there with the best of intentions but one day we're going to realize we've made the world a very dull place to be in, I think. Anyway, the FA want us to believe that terraces, banners and flares ruin the game because they want placid, clapping consumers and that's not what I want from football

Sorry, but incidents like these as harmless fun as people think they are just sends out the same message from our support again "We're Bristol Rovers - We do what we want"
We all enjoy fun of course we do, but yet AGAIN we have authorities looking at us because of a minority who just can't follow the rules. Once, twice a season and these small things are no real harm, but its becoming countless with us now and as a lot have said no-one was harmed, no they weren't luckily - but one thing is harmed..Bristol Rovers reputation AGAIN!

Lmao

Calm down!
It will just be a slap on the wrist, it was obviously done in good taste to try and create a better atmosphere, it's not like some idiot has lobbed it at the GK or at fans with intent to hurt them.
It just got lit and rolled down the stairs, like I said the most damage was a little paint stain on some shoes (Easily rubbed off)

It was a smoke bomb, not a flare!
Smoke bombs are harmless whilst a flare get hot and can burn.

Thing is when you play into the FAs narrative with things like this it ends up with most PL fans being threatened with ejection for standing up and singing. Meanwhile in mainland Europe and south America
Now I'm not saying I want to be sprayed with a water canon to stop me from passing out and be packed in like sardines but some middle ground would be lovely.
