I think we've got a guarenteed goal in us - which means FGR will have to score at least 3 to win - not happening! *sticks on Nathan Blisset sticker* Please can someone explain what he Nathan sticker thing is all about? Soz 2b thick but I don't get it.

It would be a travesty if we didn't win. Fgr are a joke. Dirty team with one or two lumps they rely on. Constant hoofball up to parkin. Quite simply we are better than them. They absolutely don't deserve to be in the playoffs really, I can think of a number of teams that deserve it more. We've been doing that for a few seasons, but we don't have the lumps up front....so thats where we've been going wrong! ![](http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy0193.gif) Totally and we still haven't got a lump which can make it work so ball on the floor please Gas. First half Weds was class more of the same please Sundsy.

I would put monkey up front at least he can control a ball got goals in him ! More than blissett and balanta they have both missed some simple chances this season , I would also push Lockyer into midfield for extra steel as he will not drop him , then play leadbitter at back use his pace for cover in defence and also he will attact them pushing there winger back . Hopefully Sinclair will make bench too

I don't think the problem is Lines & Mansel it's Parkes & McChrystal hitting it long from the back, if DC goes with Bliss then he must try and ensure we don't revert to hoof ball, if we do the game will just become a tennis match, which is probably what FGR want. Tbf we played some long ball on Wednesday. However, rather than hit and hope they were decent diagonal balls that gave the striker options. I agree but the long balls were purely to try and take the pressure off the back 4 after the sending off who did very well under pressure albeit a flukey looping header that brushed the bar. My main concern with bliss was he didn't hold the ball up too well on weds but he often had at least two players on him.

It's got to be Blissett and Taylor! I can see Blissett keeping their central two occupied, while Taylor feeds off him. We must remember, he came on on Wednesday when we were down to 10, so we were already under pressure, making his job more difficult, with not so much midfield support. I've got a lot of time for Blissett and believe he can develop into another DW (I hope)! ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

Plenty of goals in us. I wouldn't be surprised to see a goal from any out of gosling, mansell, lines, monkhouse as well as Taylor and whoever partners him of course. Parkes/Brown due a goal too.

It's funny the number of people worried about us without Ellis given how many thought he was crap and should be shipped out or only on the bench just a few weeks ago.

He was crap and it's taken D.C. almost a season to get his head right after mismanagement of him by John Ward. Harrison has been much improved and I think we will miss him, let's hope not too much.

DC's magic wand can make players with no talent, aptitude or natural skill turn into 15 goal a season from the bench talismen.

It's funny the number of people worried about us without Ellis given how many thought he was crap and should be shipped out or only on the bench just a few weeks ago. I hold my hands up and say I thought we should have loaned him out at the start of the season. I'm sure many would have agreed at the time after his disappointing season last year. I've always rated Ellis before last season and even said I can see him playing at championship level eventually. The reason I would have loaned him out is not because I don't rate him but because I realised he needed to start maturing as a player, he's always had the attributes and ability but he's not quite had the head to go with it, before now. Also, he wouldn't have been much use to us until he matured and because he was on a fairly decent wage, we couldn't afford to wait around for him and the money could have been spent to bring someone else in up front. I think more than anything it is testament to both himself and Darrell Clarke that he is now seen as an integral player in the starting 11. I'm just worried about whether we can keep him or not now as I think he could be a valuable asset to us going forward. I don't know the ins and outs of what goes on at Bristol Rovers and nor do I pretend to know but I could imagine that if we don't go up then there would be a good chance that we will struggle to keep him. However, if we do go up then I would hope everything would be hunky dory and he would stay.

Hopefully Sinclair will make bench too So you'd break up the brilliant left wing partnership, bring Lockyer back into midfield where we was average at best in the past, and bring in Leadbitter who was sent off in the last FGR home match. Rather than just swap Blisset or Balanta for Harrison?

Perhaps if we'd loaned him out in September or October he'd have come back as a regular starter much sooner and we'd now be promoted, with the money so far wasted on Easter's wages would still be in the bank? Then again he might have gone completely off the rails and turned into another Ben Swallow! The forum is all about having opinions, if we stopped posting those the forum wouldn't be the same place.

We seem to be blessed this season with the ability for most players to crack a sneaky one in the net (wash your mids out you lot) . so not too worried about lack of firepower

Blissett to start up front alongside Taylor, he will be a handful against those back two, provided they play, is Coles available?? If so, I can see him being played to add some experience and some downright dirtiness, if they didn't have enough of that already, after watching them on Wed. I've got this feeling Lines will score a screamer to start us off.
