I was sat on my suitcase by the front door last night for a couple of hours. She Who Casts No Shadow said, "come and eat your dinner. Your flight is not until Friday!" I'll probably find myself sat on the suitcase again tonight.............
Leaving 7.30am Sunday from the Stokers on Gypsy Patch Lane ! Attire will be conservative. Just flip-flops, a lime green mankini with a Rovers shirt to put on at the ground to look decent. I've waxed my back, crack and sack so I'll look good on the day.

I'm worried about the 'transport' though. I'm going with a load of mates, and the last time they organised the travel was the away FA Cup trip to Liverpool.........we 'traveled' on a double-decker bus. Not the most comfortable of journeys, and possibly the slowest ever as I don't think it ever got above 45 mph on the motorway. True story.

I'll have coffee and a choc-ice in my Thermos Flask, as it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold. A couple of packets of Quavers, a packet of Wine Gums and some ham sandwiches. My eldest son will be in charge of me.

Can't go wrong with ham sandwiches which is why I'm going for turkey. And a scotch egg. And a pasty.

I have hired a mini bus and have arranged for everyone to meet at the Toby Carvery in Bradley Stoke at 08:30. I have been advised to park at Harrow and Wealdstone train station and get a tube to Wembley from there as it's free parking. Can anyone recommend a better place to park or is that as good a place as any ?

But won't the pastie be cold? I like the Scotch Egg idea. A touch of class that. The cold pastie. That has given me an idea. In the dim and very distant past I had to attend Arctic Warfare Training in Norway.....stay with me......Now, say for instance your socks got a bit wet/damp. What you would do is put the said socks under your armpits for a couple of hours to help them dry out (at this point you'd obviously be wearing your spare socks). Maybe you could do this with your pastie to give it a little warmth?
