In his interview DC said he hasn't ruled out bringing another keeper in ...." we'll see how pre-season goes". Is this a warning? Presumably, if this happens, then Mildy or Puddy will be sent out on loan?

It's an interesting thing to say on the first day of pre-season...given that we have two goalkeepers who would walk into the first or second choice keeper slot at many teams in our new division, who are we looking at? I hear De Gea's future is still up in the air...

Seems a reasonable comment to me, that's why I made it....the point was serious, the team is weaker in other departments (ie wingers), so why did he say it? Is it motivational? or is there a sub-plot?

Why? How much is he costing us? er,guess what? he wont know the answer I was being devious We've got two good keepers here, Mildy is experienced and in my opinion could still be playing a division higher. Remember he came to us to be nearer his family when he could have stayed playing higher. I think he's one of the best keepers we've had in recent years. Puddy is the apprentice and a very promising one too. Good work ethic, young but eager to learn and develop. Test of a good keeper is having a not so good defence in front and we haven't seen him in that situation yet, but he's done well generally when he's had to. No idea why anyone is questioning the keeper department. Looks heathy to me.

So Peter Schmeical wasn't a good keeper? Anyway Mildenhall is poor value for money because someone told me he's on 1billion dollars a year.

Who do we all want to start the first game? I am still to be convinced by Puddy to be honest. He is brave and deceptively good on crosses. Mildy is probably the better shot stopper but both lose the plot on kicking sometimes!

Mildy is probably the better shot stopper but both lose the plot on kicking sometimes! Get some pre-season games in first! Both keepers are probably under the most motivation and pressure they've been under in their careers. Puddy's never been a league keeper only making a single appearance for Cheltenham and Mildy hasn't been under this much competition for his number one spot in years.

Just giving my opinion based on last season really. Both deserve a shot at number one so lets see who is in the best form after pre season.

At least we have two keepers with established runs in the first XI. They both have dodgy moments, but as we all know, a misjudgement further up the pitch is not so glaring; when a keeper does one bad thing, we remember it forever and think , "Nah, we'll have to get another one".
Having said that, if anyone would like a nice kitten, I have a huge litter of little darlings which I personally gave birth to at Wembley when Puddy raced practically to the half-way line in the first few minutes - apparently just wanting to join in with the kickabout.
