I'm sure they took advice from the Lawyers representing the Club. If anyone's to blame, it's them. No, no and thrice no........The blame is totally with Sainsbury's. Is it though? According to the judge they have acted lawfully within the confines of the contract WE signed.

Oh don't get me wrong, that spoilt disgusting company is to blame for this and I really do hope they get what's eventually coming to them, but I was merely saying that as far as this case is concerned, you really need to ask questions of our legal team. I wouldn't. They'd probably charge you 200 quid for the reply !

Whilst I understand peoples views on Sainsburys, it is ultimately the responsibility of BRFC and it's Directors to act reasonably on behalf of it's supporters. I have kept quiet on this subject since it's outset but it's been clear to anyone prepared to carry out any basic research that this contract has never been watertight and that our Directors particularly NH and TW have at best been out of their depth and at worst been lieing through their teeth. I can only hope that's its the former. I'm sure they took advice from the Lawyers representing the Club. If anyone's to blame, it's them. Hi Baggins Yes you're correct obviously, but only to a point. I've never met a legal expert yet who hasn't tried to encourage his/her client to pursue a case which is so financially rewarding for them. However, I question the fact that this case was ever winnable and that part of the "legal team" is so closely linked to the club. They now seem to be encouraging our Directors to appeal, which i'm sure you would agree is financial suicide. "Watertight" it never was and our Financial Director TW (if that's what he is) should have known better. It is of course easy to comment after the event and i stand to be accused of just that but I stand by the fact that anyone with a degree of intelligence could of foreseen this outcome and it worries me that the people in charge of "our club" didn't see it coming. Presumably the same team who drew up the watertight contrat?

Don't get me wrong Baggins, Sainsburys have been very underhand but the writing was on the wall and our legal team were not up to speed with what was going on. Ultimately, they acted within the law and our legal team let them do it.

Yeah you're right but just because a few hundred people would of kicked off doesn't make it OK. It's down to communication and NH can't do it very well. if he'd explained to us fans that we'd been stitched up (legally) by sainsburys most would have understood. Instead he told anyone who'd listen that it was "watertight" and then took out a high interest short term loan against our only asset. I don't think he's a stupid man, so the alternative is quite worrying!

Pretty sure telling fans we were 'stitched up' would have landed him in a bit of trouble.

NH is a professional Businessman with a background in the construction Industry, you can't tell me he couldn't see this coming. The legal team was in no small way connected to BRFC. Anyway, as regards your last point.......... A bit of trouble 9 months ago will seem like a blessing ahead of what's in store for BRFC
