When I was at Uni there was a Sainsburys literally a 30 second walk away, who had a deal with the accommodation and we had a card for 10% discount or something.
Never used it once. Was a bit weird at first trying to convince 4 people I had just met to walk a further 15 minutes with me to go Asda instead!

Without doubt our Legal Teams must take a very high portion of the blame but Judge Proudman IMO has let Sainsburys off very lightly.Personally if I was a member of BCC I would do everything to drive Sainsburys out of Bristol at every opportunity. Why would anybody want to do business with the dirty scumbags?

"The High Court found in our favour today, agreeing that the conditional contract between Sainsbury's and Bristol Rovers lawfully terminated in November 2014. "The judge made no findings of Sainsbury's acting in bad faith with the club." "We understand that this is a sensitive issue locally and that there will also be disappointment as a result of the court's decision today. We will continue to work with the local community via our existing Bristol stores which employ over 800 people, and are extremely popular with customers." you forgot the other statements that they made according to the legal document: “We have the TRASH JR excuse to fall back on. Can easily say the uncertainty it created made it impossible to commit to developing in the medium term.”

Whilst I understand peoples views on Sainsburys, it is ultimately the responsibility of BRFC and it's Directors to act reasonably on behalf of it's supporters. I have kept quiet on this subject since it's outset but it's been clear to anyone prepared to carry out any basic research that this contract has never been watertight and that our Directors particularly NH and TW have at best been out of their depth and at worst been lieing through their teeth. I can only hope that's its the former. I'm sure they took advice from the Lawyers representing the Club. If anyone's to blame, it's them. We cant forget the leaders of Trash who must be held to account for the fact that once again a minority have used our taxes to destroy the efforts of so many - even though it was obvious that public opinion was never on their side. If they were honest they knew that the majority did not back their movement and yet still abused the system to their own ends. As Bristol residents I believe that they are more culpable than Sainsburys .

"The High Court found in our favour today, agreeing that the conditional contract between Sainsbury's and Bristol Rovers lawfully terminated in November 2014. So hard fecking luck
"The judge made no findings of Sainsbury's acting in bad faith with the club so if you think it damages our reputation, you can feck off."
"We understand that this is a sensitive issue locally and that there will also be disappointment as a result of the court's decision today. We will continue to fleece the local community via our existing Bristol stores which employ over 800 people, who are underpaid. we think we are extremely popular with customers."
