So, if we were to rotate the Mem pitch c.90 degrees (like with the previous abandoned plans), one of the stands would be in the middle of where the car park currently is. This could leave room for development as the season is ongoing. And a decent size stand for 5,000 with a bar and offices and various facilities would take about 120,000 bricks.
What if everyone brings a brick to each home game?
If we average 6,000 this season (bring your mates) and have a decent cup run, we will have this many bricks by about 16 league games into the season.
This leaves the final 7 games or so of the season for people to bring along stuff like seats, balustrades, bags of concrete mix, and some sand, and some faucets for the bogs (maybe someone knows someone with a spare urinal).
Also, maybe you could have those who go to away games dropping off a brick before they travel up (or on their way home).
We could build this stand as the season goes along with almost no cost to the club!!
If everyone works together, we can do this! And never let anyone say BRFC does things in a half-arsed way again.

That has a better chance of success than the appeal.

At last! A sensible proposal. Should we specify the bricks, or go for the more artistic random effect? Personally, I think random is more suitable for BRFC - perhaps with the occasional concrete-block.

Hahaha!
So we'll end up with a stadium looking like a pick'n'mix with all those assorted bricks and seats? Hang on, why didn't we just buy the stand C*ty have just knocked down?

Sounds good Antonio so what you're saying is in the future we're all gonna be Bricking It!

Maybe we fans should start building it, mess it up, and leave it half finished. Then we could get DIY SOS to sort it out for free.

I have some old geraniums if that helps, and a telescope somewhere, all good stadiums should have a telescope

I went to watch Bristol v stade francais a few years back. Arrived at the ground but when inside the seat for my ticket did not exist. My wife's seat was there but not mine. Seemed that it had been removed from the end of the row to facilitate space for a wheel chair. Due to the fact it was a sell out the stewards fetched me a stool from the bar to sit on. So maybe we should all bring a bar stool to. Lots available due to the amounts of pubs closing down. Would add to the ambience in my opinion!

f**k all that.
We should just build a big grass bowl amphitheatre with the pitch in the middle.
No bricks or materials needed. We all just bring a blanket like Henman Hill.
Job done.
We could chuck a few stones around the place and open it to the yanks when we have no home games and call it Horfield Henge. Well Dam rake it in.

Wonder what happened to the park benches from the county ground when it was re-developed. A few of them, a couple of tents, and some grass mounds and there we go

What if everyone brings a brick to each home game? It is a wonderful plan Antonio. Unfortunately in true Rovers' style it won't work. When the rugby club sold an option to buy on their training ground (now Trubshaw Gardens) it removed the necessary room to rotate the pitch. In honour of your otherwise fine idea joining the long list of failed stadium schemes, might I suggest the Antonio Fargas Stadium Redevelopment Plan Entrance is designated as a suitable reminder?
