Not sure being Mr Nasty would give him the ability he appears to lack to make it at league level? 10 gaols in nearly 60 games for Kidderminster suggests he was never going to be prolific goal scorer even at Conference level. That's the thing, Bliss was never brought in to be a prolific goalscorer. He needs to be running at defences and scaring the sh*t out of them. But the blokes too nice. A lot of defenders shy away from Akinde / similar because he's a nasty f**ker. If they played against Bliss they'd always shake his hand for a well contested battle but sometimes you need a horrible f**ker up top watering the defenders off - and then Easter, Taylor, Harrison can slip in behind and stick it in the net. You just need to look at Easter. He's as aggressive as they come and it shows as the game goes on, they sit back a bit as they know he will kick and push for everything.

Sometimes you need the player that you'd hate if he was playing against us. Just like you need the goalkeepers time wasting etc. Not nice, not pretty, but has its uses.

He could be the nastiest bar steward in the world but the blokes got 2 left feet! will never go higher than league 2 (Bet that comment comes back to haunt me)

Genuine question: what has Mehew done since he left us? I know he went to Blackburn but he still hasn't turned 18 and can't see that he has gone anywhere on loan.
Would be a gamble if we were using him as a first team striker as I assume this is a loan deal?

I thought the whole idea was to bring in someone with league experience?

I thought the whole idea was to bring in someone with league experience? Very disappointing signing if true, thought we wanted somebody physical to challenge Ellis for a place in the team? Has Ollie even turned 18 yet??

Assuming that Instagram account exchange is genuine it sounds more like it hasn't worked out for OM at Blackburn, and he's returned to sign for his home time club rather than just return here on loan? Although he does seem to have been scoring regularly for Blackburn's Academy team recently so it's all a bit odd.

Yeah but like you've said he's still inexperienced, has he even been out on loan or anything since leaving us?... Has he done anything?? Never know he might be great and score goals but I think he would be a challenge for Easter and Taylor not Ellis

We've lost him for one season, received a reported five figures for him and he'll be handed his first pro-deal here. I'm sure other signings are on the way and your post is fantastic reactionary nonsense.

Slightly ironic that you've posted this as it was you who earlier posted on this thread titled "New Striker" that we were signing Mehew, surely implying that he was the new striker DC was signing, not just another first pro signing? Until the club make a formal announcement it's not really clear what's going on regarding his return to the club.
