I'm sorry but if a pro clubs trawls forums for info then I am a fkin 6 legged unicorn pretending to be a manatee!! Most "gossip" on forums is rollox as we all know so how would they know what to believe?? Could end up believing something and doing yourself no favours. Comparing that with Sainburies looking is nonsense! They were gauging opinion etc not trying to find out if Watola was fit for court or about to be replaced by Ware at the last minute. Utter tosh! I know of at least one transfer target that we wanted in the past and as a result of a local newspaper (not the EP) picking up on a story/rumour we lost out to a bigger club.
If you do not believe this goes on, then fine.
that's a journalist in a paper! Not some kid on a forum starting rumours! Come on! Journalists get special treatment at all clubs and most have a genuine mole. It does not compare to a forum where most people talk sh1te as perception of knowledge is worn as some kind of badge, even if it is false. Sorry but your talking bull.

You correctly comment that most people purely conjecture but its not just journalists who have an inside track. it is evident that some people on this forum have sources inside the club so don't dismiss everything that you hear.

I'm not! I'm saying a football club would not base its game plan around a forum whisper! Read the thread!!!!!

Any more news? Last I heard he was supposed to be back for the Pompey game. Not sure we will want to rush him back though.
Also what happens when he does come back? I think Parkes has been the weakest so far but J Clarke and Lockyer are both predominantly right sided centre backs and have never played as a back 2 before. Or do you go back to the 3-5-2.

Given DC didn't indicate Lucas, who did his hamstring the same weekend, would be back this week then I guess he'll keep his cards close to his chest re Leadbitter, didn't DC say as much in his post match interview yesterday?

I'm not sure but that isn't to say there won't be someone on here who knows more there sometimes is.

If there's any doubt (and I mean any doubt) about his fitness DC should leave it longer to bring him back. Nothing to gain by him playing against Portsmouth, him setting up the winner but he then tweaks it again and misses the next three matches...

Any reasons given as to why he didn't get a run out. Just have to assume he still isn't fit enough, hope there wasn't a setback with the injury

Its mad isn't it he was basically a nothing player last season and now he is the most important player in our team after like 3 good matches? If our team and manager's fortunes rely solely on Leadbitter we cant have much of a good team..or a manager who has suddenly become dependant on a player who barely played last year.
Think we are over thinking this, lets just get in a decent winger and striker and results will come.

Problem now is will NH be willing to invest in players if he's about to sell up?

Leadbitter wasn't given much of a chance last season as the style of football in conference and pitches in the conference wouldn't of suited him so much. Last season was just about getting the job done. I think a lot of people including myself have appreciated Leadbitter's potential and feel this season he is really going to fulfil that.

Pretty sure Lockyer was first choice RB so how have you reached that conclusion?

So you think we don't have to pay loan players wages when they are here for a few months at a time? Do you really think Chris Lines didn't cost us anything in wages last season?
