I'm certain that my advice will be ignored by a lot of posters on here, but it would be really nice not to have too much of an over-reaction on here after one defeat. Already I've seen criticisms of Lyttle (a player from our academy making his first team debut) and I'm sure the usual people will have a moan at Linesy or Taylor or DC. IT'S ONE GAME. Probably it's just something that's part of being a football fan, but there is a tendency on here to be shouting from the rooftops after one win and hanging ourselves after one defeat. Orient are obviously a good side in this division and I'd be very surprised if they finished lower than play-offs. For the first time in years we have a good thing going at Rovers and it woul be great just to have a bit of patience and acceptance and realise that one game doesn't make a season and that we're progressing all the time. After the first five games of last season I wouldn't have believed you if you'd said that next year we'd be back in the Football League competing in away games, but here we are and it's a minor setback. Keep the faith. UTG

Oriant will finish top 3 without a doubt, would've taken 3 wins from 5 before the season started anyway!

No panic here... As far as I'm concerned Layton orient will be in the top 3 come May... It was always a tough ask. If it hadn't been for the last 3 games everyone would have been fearing a hammering...
Realistically... 3 wins and 2 defeats from 5 tough games Is more than I expected.

Will anyone really be that annoyed by today's result? Losing away to probably the best side in the division will hardly get people moaning imo.

No panic here. When I looked at the fixtures I couldn't believe how tough the opening ten games were. Would have taken anything above 14th and still would.

Don't think anyone will panic about one defeat, although there's no reason why we should just start accepting defeats. It's odd how posters say Orient are bound to be good as they were only relegated last season as that didn't seem to be the case when we dropped into Div 2!
I personally feel DC got it wrong today by throwing an unexperenced Academy player, who's played in our pre-season friendlies, into a very tough away game.

Montano was for me our best player in the second half. One or two heavy touches but drove us forward through the middle and actually exploited the gap between their midfield and defence.
It is really harsh but Lyttle did cost us today. He was left exposed, didn't track his runner once or twice and made two big mistakes. The push was utterly needless at a point in the game in which we had actually forced the best save of the game of their keeper. The second was silly - trying to go past two players when isolated on the right. Given a second crack at it I don't think Clarke would have thrown him into such a tough away game on his debut.
On to the next.

Perhaps if anything it highlights just how weak our squad is, we lose just one defender and we have to call up an Academy player for his debut!

When I saw the team names come through I turned to the bloke next to me & suggested putting Tyler in was a huge risk - but I'm sure Darrell gets it right much more often than I would overall, & you have to give these players a chance at some point. Agreed, no Panic necessary

Nope...lost our first home game to Torquay. My mistake, could have sworn we won the first 4. 1st time we dropped into league 2 we won our 1st 3 games under Gerry Francis. Ironically I think our 1st defeat was 3-2 at Orient after we were 1-0 up then 2-1 up

Nope...lost our first home game to Torquay. My mistake, could have sworn we won the I was there and we beat Torquay 1-0. We were extremely lucky to win. I was amazed when the players ran out with a firework display going off, I thought it strange to celebrate relegation in that way! we did have an amazing crowd of over 10500 , and attendances held up well for several months until we started to bomb down the table.

We are doing ok, maintain 9 points from every 5 games and we will be up there come the end of the season. I think we will have a very good idea of where we are as a side at the end of September as we have some tough games. I'm hopeful that we can challenge for playoffs.

more stress than panic, still a long way to go this season, we had to lose sooner rather than later, just glad it was now, as we will soon see how the team respond to a loss this season, lets hope we come back with our heads up like last season, as the Anti Nowhere League sang we will survive

Which relegation are you talking about? Last time under Buckle we lost 2-1. Beat Wombles away on TV. Lost to Torquay. Then won the next two. Rene Howe scored a penalty.
