That's just a stupid comment as 11 players on the pitch is bound to be better than 10, if not, it surely defeats the whole object of the red card system for foul play etc. Why do you think fans celebrate when there's a sending off? I understand where you're coming from but I disagree. For example I genuinely think Oxford actually looked better with 10 men. Remember giggsys goal against Arsenal in 1999 United were down to ten men then, sometimes being down to ten actually makes the team realise they need to pull together and work harder.

Good news for us and Ollie. Bad news it only took three or so replies before the thread turned into a bitchfest.

The red card changed the whole game and to my mind ruined what could have been a great advert for div2 soccer.
Both teams were trying to pass the ball around and whilst I am biased I did think that we were starting to dominate
We changed shape and suddenly had the air of a team who thought they had been wronged with Taylor in particular continually looking for fouls We got players behind the ball instead of being on the front foot and lost our way a little.
We shall never know how the game would have panned Out but to state that we would have lost because they did better with 10 men than we did is wide of the msrk
I do believe that the crowd relaxed when they went down to 10 and the whole mood lifted and the players seem to stand off them in a way that they didn't when they had 11. We let the guy have too much time and the goal happened.
We have a fairly good side but badly lack a natural goal scorer and will struggle to grind out wins from tight games as we need 10 shots on goal to score 1.
