i Would rather play a turd dugout from the fans toilets, at least the turd will be more loyal to the cause, o'toole or o'turd, not comparrison really the turd wins, sorry but o'tooles not fit to pick the toe jam from several supporters on matchday

Nah but the final straw was that newspaper interview, screw him and every other player that left at that time

He was a good player on the pitch in that team
I don't want him back.

Not a team player! Sounds like he doesn't train well or look after himself, a bad apple that managers do not want in there team. I would not want him back even on the cheap, give me one SS instead of 100 JJOT,s

According to Cobblers fans he was MoTM against Wimbledon. No, I don't want him back. I bet Tbone would swap him for Matteee. I bet JB67 would swap him for CL.

But then again I wouldn't want O'Toole but of the two at least JJ will chip in with some goals

Sounds like he was Wilder's MOTM in their win against Wiccum today. Fan's comment is that he should be off the transfer list or it will be difficult manage him. Not sure it could be any harder. Won them 4 points this season (didn't he have a similarly good stat with us?)
I know it is probably time to let go of JJOT but it is fascinating seeing how another club deals with the JJOT challenge.

I think if a Championship club gave him a chance he could be a big success. In order to play as well as we all know he can, he needs big wages, big crowds and big stadiums to motivate him. He gets frustrated down in the lower leagues with cow-shed grounds, hoofing defenders and strikers who couldn't hit a barn door, when he knows he's so much better (or could be). But no-one is going to take a risk on him at that level when he's failed so often at our level. His over-developed ego and intolerance will always stop him reaching his promised land.

I think you are being rather generous there.

Its almost as if that statement has come from JJOT's own mind Unfortunately, there is more to football than talent. Its a team game, and plenty of players get their chance at Champ/Prem level because they're willing to graft and battle for the team. O'Toole is talented, but he lacks that key ingredient needed to make the step up.

Why does anyone care what happens to the guy. O'toole is done with us and we're done with him. until he scores against us at the Sixfield that is.

I reckon he's just what we could do with. His interview didn't go down very well because he spoke honestly about his ambition. It wasn't his fault that he joined a team of losers. 14 goals in that team is admirable. God no. He encapsulates absolutely everything that is wrong with modern day football IMO. Massive ego, limited talent and a total Special lady garden. Just my opinion of course Just a question how many on here who are calling O.Toole various names and making sweeping statements have actually met him,by that I mean sat down and spoke to him in a sensible manner for any length of time?

Send him off to boot camp, that'll sort him out.

I'll hazard a guess at none of us. But we all saw the performances on the pitch, and the way he connects with the majority of the fans is i) the performances on the pitch and ii) what we read in mainstream media. My opinion of his on-pitch performances is critical but not necessarily because of what he did or didn't do in any given 90-minutes, more the negative influence he had on team selection and tactics...but we can all agree he was an idiot off the pitch...?

DC told me O'Toole trained fine and was not a bad apple.
He also said the only way you'll get anything out of O'Toole was to build a team around him.
And DC's words exactly, John Joe is not good enough to build a team around.
