Send him off to boot camp, that'll sort him out. Just a question how many on here who are calling O.Toole various names and making sweeping statements have actually met him,by that I mean sat down and spoke to him in a sensible manner for any length of time? I'll hazard a guess at none of us. But we all saw the performances on the pitch, and the way he connects with the majority of the fans is i) the performances on the pitch and ii) what we read in mainstream media. My opinion of his on-pitch performances is critical but not necessarily because of what he did or didn't do in any given 90-minutes, more the negative influence he had on team selection and tactics...but we can all agree he was an idiot off the pitch...? Precisely if any of you had sat down with him and just talked you would understand the frustrations he gets, mainly with himself but also with team mates who he knows are better than they show at times. He is a very complex character,as most people are and only wants the best for any team he plays for.Unfortunately this doesn't always transmit itself to the terraces, but then again how many can say they can transmit their feelings without saying them.

Yeah, but at that time in that season the last thing we needed was complicated characters in the dressing-room. From what you're saying he sounds like a 'leader' but it clearly wasn't working in 2013/14 and too often he was in the side for reasons that weren't good actually helpful for the team as a whole. Too many times we lost a game by the odd goal that (with a more solid midfield) we may have drawn. And where would we be with one more point? He may be borderline genius on the pitch, but it doesn't seem to be helping the teams he plays for...

The idea that he thought the 2013/14 final day interview (regardless of its publication date, it was still done during a relegation battle) was POSITIVE PR shows exactly the sort of character he is. Some of those quotes showed him to be anything but a leader, instead a man in it for himself.
The fact that Chris Wilder is having the same problems should be a huge indicator to those defending the bloke.

If that was even 1/2 true (not calling padstow a liar, calling jj the tool a bullshitter) , then where was he during our stint in the conference, where was he at the start of preseason, oh yes he shot off just as fast as his crabby little ego would carry him, history is littered with people telling others that everything is ok. just to appease the listener

i Would rather play a turd dugout from the fans toilets, at least the turd will be more loyal to the cause, o'toole or o'turd, not comparrison really the turd wins, sorry but o'tooles not fit to pick the toe jam from several supporters on matchday Welcome back Inee. But you seem to be rather reserved in your opinion. Please stop sitting on the fence yup ruddy winters arriving and me farmer giles dont like the fence much
