Correct, it wasn't that bad. It was just that Parkes and Nicholls had shockers and it cost us. Two had shockers I thought most were off their game, how can fans not be worried about the home form and lack of goals! some are easily pleased on here, my love in with Darrell is diminishing gradually. We have picked up 13 points from the last 18... I'd rather have poor home form than away form, as the former is more easily fixed IMO.

I don't actually think the performance in general was THAT bad. It was silly mistakes, didn't take our chances and Newport were better than their league position. Correct, it wasn't that bad. It was just that Parkes and Nicholls had shockers and it cost us. And Taylor.

There's been a lot of over reactions on here since yesterday. We're mid table, (which almost everyone said preseason they'd be happy with) and if we win our game in hand we would be 2 points off playoffs with 2/3 of the season left to play.
I think we're on track to achieving what's realistic at this point and due to finances, it's going to have to be a gradual process for DC to improve the squad.
Certainly no need to be pressing the panic button after one poor result. Our home form will improve and if we can keep picking up points away, we'll be there or there abouts come May.

listening to DC after the game never mentioned anything about that shower training today, thought it would be nailed on after that pantomime performance, and for once T boner ain't the villain in all this! DC has stated we are 3 or 4 players short and players will fall by the wayside as the season progresses. Awful way to lose yesterday but seriously punishment training? that's great for team morale. Div. 4 players make mistakes same as any human being in the workplace. This squad are honest and hardworking and will bounce back. We know our weaknesses and im sure DC knows them.

Yesterday was sh**e. So bad, DC apologized on the radio after. I don't think there is massive over reaction really, but our home form is woeful this year, even the most positive of posters must concede that.

Home games have been woeful and it is hard on those that attend home only.

Yes the away form is marvellous however if that tails off we will be in the mire, unfortunately due to child care I can only go to all the home games. our relegation season we were great at home and poor away, the opposite of this season. i know DC is not being backed in the transfer market, and don't expect me to name names of how I know. i just expect a little more than. I am watching at the moment. when I said punishment training I never meant an assault course with a 60 pound pack on their back, but thought they should be in trying to talk about and do extra training trying to eradicate the poor home form, maybe I am too old fashioned but that yesterday was dog sh€€

Agree his budget is crap considered the gates we get, but NH ain't going to splash the cash anytime soon until appeal, new buyers ect. Agree to disagree on the punishment training.

Maybe the team feel under the cosh at home games, the fans can get on their back if things don't go our way early on. If I recall the England team had a similar problem at Wembley.

Perhaps DC accepts the squad's not good enough so why flog a struggling horse? not good enough for what? any promoted team anywhere would be happy with our start surely?

Punishment training? ?? Is this from the same school of thought that says the whippings will continue until morale improves?

LOL our home must be the worse in Div 2 with just one win? If we ever start struggling away from home, as we surely will, we'll plummet down the table.

Jeez - individual errors by two players, and suddenly we have a "drinking problem"! That's a mighty big leap, even for the most imaginative of minds.

Hopefully peoples emotions have calmed down since the weekend!
Some of the accusations about Parkes are well over the top!
Onwards and upwards!!
