Perhaps DC accepts the squad's not good enough so why flog a struggling horse? And perhaps he realises the next game is away (and quite a distance) on a Friday. I for one don't buy into this whole 'protect professional athletes from being active' thing, but I can see why he's given them the normal recovery time this particular wek... Yesterday was sh**e. So bad, DC apologized on the radio after. I don't think there is massive over reaction really, but our home form is woeful this year, even the most positive of posters must concede that. Form, yes. Performances, not so much. Given we're in 13th, it needs tweaks to improve, rather than the chainsaw approach if we were (say) 22nd... Maybe the team feel under the cosh at home games, the fans can get on their back if things don't go our way early on. If I recall the England team had a similar problem at Wembley. Rovers have had this problem for years. Trouble is, the groans at home pay the wages, so it's literally a rock and a hard place... Perhaps DC accepts the squad's not good enough so why flog a struggling horse? not good enough for what? any promoted team anywhere would be happy with our start surely? At the end of October last year, what would any of us have given to be 13th in League Two exactly a year later...answers on a postcard... Hopefully peoples emotions have calmed down since the weekend! Some of the accusations about Parkes are well over the top! Onwards and upwards!! Since the accusations about Parkes were all spelt correctly, I assume they weren't out drinking with him so we're in a [[citation needed]] phase... Correct, it wasn't that bad. It was just that Parkes and Nicholls had shockers and it cost us. Two had shockers I thought most were off their game, how can fans not be worried about the home form and lack of goals! some are easily pleased on here, my love in with Darrell is diminishing gradually. Is that on a game by game basis? Try looking at the big picture...

We need to man up right from the top. We are bullied out of games too easily. Our three main areas are too nice,we have no physical presence in there, that is centre half, central midfield and centre forward. We supposedly have two wingers playing yet everything seems to revolve around waiting for the full backs to come up rather than for our wingers to actually take on players. Lots say that DC says it as it is but there are times when he has to take some of the blame himself both in terms of selection and how we play. For me there appears to be no desperation at all in getting in a couple of strong physical players and the truth is you can't rely on away form to carry you right through the season.

Good points 1973. i think the advantage of having a big aggressive centre back is gained by pushing out quick and playing a different way than we do. For me DCs system was built around playing three at the back and he has tried to sign players to play this way and also he likes to be able to change formations but in doing so he has pretty well left us short of being able to successfully play either formation. If Leadbitter or brown are injured then we can't play wingbacks and if one of our wingers are injured he does not seem to want to play Montano out wide.
