Not long back from Cambridge sat down finishing off my kebab! Just wondering if the beamback was good or did it flop like typical rovers fashion? Seemed a good turnout from pictures anyway. Anyway let's hope that's not the last time you'll see us win at the Mem for a while eh

Difficult watching on one camera, and you are used to replays however was a great atmosphere and well worth doing again if you cannot get to the game, Think everyone enjoyed the evening.

Watched it in one of the boxes last night. Was brilliant in my opinion worked out £18 each and included curry and a beer too. Picture was good maybe zoomed in a little too close and some annoying pillar which kept getting in the way but didn't miss any of the action and would definitely do it again. Heard a rumour the bar did very well in the club house as well.

Must have made a good few quid last night. The first half was crap at we sat in front a small TV with no sound in the dribuild stand. 2nd half we went downstairs and a bigger TV, really loud sound and a cracking atmosphere. Loved it! Well done Rovers!

If this takes of it may be worth putting up a large projector screen in the stands. They can even be rented.

I had made the last minute decision to go with a friend last night and I thought the experience was poor especially for the £7 they were charging on the door.
To begin with I parked my car behind the DriBuild stand which was a luxury in itself. Walked round to the supporters club bar behind the Blackthorn end and was promptly told to walk back round to the DriBuild to buy a ticket then come back. Not too bad I as I turned up before 7 in plenty of time but a sign or two somewhere would have been nice.
Upon getting in about 10 past 7 we walked in to the supporters club bar to find about 30 chairs, many with accompanying tables talking up nearly all the floor space. As these were already taken I got a pint although not of the usual Butcombe as they had already ran out and decided to stand in front of the bar between that and the seats as it was the only reasonable space left a good view. It was a bit squashed in come kick off time and the jobsworth organiser decided to have a go at me when I first got there for standing there even though there was nowhere to go and I was soon swamped with other gasheads who he left alone.
The match experience was acceptable but not great. the picture quality was good although the sound was fed back and a really low bit rate and the noise from the distortion was ear ringing. This also meant that the croud was hard to hear and any stadium announcements were impossible to work out especially for substitutes which you couldn't tell we're happening if the cameraman decided to look at one of their players on the pitch or the ball boy near the dug outs which he seemed to take a liking to! Some simple on screen graphics would have sorted that out. The camera was often too far zoomed in and at both ends there was posts blocking views in the corners. There was no replays either so the feed was far from television standard.
The atmosphere was flat as a pancake in the first half which went with the performance but there was a good buzz going round in the second especially when the winner went in.
Overall I felt that it was a good night but it really wasn't worth the £7 to get in. I'd spent the first half wishing I was at home with the radio on and a glass of something strong to take the edge of the nerves! I wouldn't pay more than £2 or £3 to get in next time if i decided to although I probably wouldn't.
I went to the Hartlepool beamback in 2007 and that was a far better experience with a big screen in front of the Blackthorn end with commentary.

They are allowed to do it for long distance away games or when there's special circumstances involved including moving it last minute like they done with last nights game.

Thanks for the post, as I said before the game £5 was OK , £7 a bit of a rip off, particularly with no commentary. Not sure why the club can't organise things better at the Mem, what that saying about a "couldn't organise a p....." but can't see they can do much about the video quality.

It wasn't organised that badly. I guess they need to keep the ticket sales in one place so they can keep an eye on attendance numbers. The broadcast is out of their control. Perhaps the audio quality was dropped due to low broadband speeds as that's the only reason they would do it. The one thing I would have liked the club to do was got rid of the tables and shove the chairs up so there was more space for everyone else.

To be honest I don't think £7 is too bad as they have to pay for stewarding staff etc as well as the costs involved in getting it beamed back. However if it is not a good experience then people will not attend again so they need to look at how they can improve on that. I didn't go this time but, I would probably go if they did it again

They should do what some of the prem league teams do and beam it to a local cinema, best of both worlds there !

Some fans were Tweeting that they had damaged the ceiling of one of the boxes whilst celebrating Taylor's goal, so not sure the cinemas would be too keen. No doubt it was nothing more than a spilled drink, but those that wish to see us in a bad light will make more of it.

I would rather the club didn't do it too often. 562 was a great effort but it will kill our away support I fear.
