For me it's got to be Andy Gurney, could never stand him as a youngster or Gavin Kelly

I always thought Ken Ronaldson was awesome. The only player from that era I thought was a bit hit or miss was Sandy Allan - but I am prepared to bow to those who know different!

Lewis haldane is one that springs to mind. I was never a massive fan of his, had all the physical attributes but never really cut the mustard in my opinion Edit: see he's already been mentioned Wasn't that bad at the Milleneum Stadium

SA came from Cardiff with a good reputation if I remember right. He had scored goals in Cardiff's trip to the European Cup Winners Cup semi finals. Yet when he came to us he didn't set the world or even north Bristol alight. Good player but always felt a bit sorry for him but just didn't work out for him. Did he play in any of our two League Cup runs in early 70s? I think he did but not sure without checking. UTG!
