From the current squad there's two players I'd mention: Manse because he's a leader and clearly a big character in the dressing room - model pro Also Ellis because despite everything he's one of not many players in the last few years who still has the capability to get me excited when the ball comes to him in space.

All time fave is a tough one but I think I'll have to say Andy Tillson
Current squad I have to agree with the few that said Lee Brown

Cureton Prolific finisher and the player I most associate with my most enjoyable period watching Rovers games I remember Mike Barrett with affection. I have family buried in Arnos Vale where Mickey is also buried and I must admit I have shed a few tears at his graveside a few times when passing it...... and to think he was buried wearing his Rovers strip' what could of been? What he could have achieved in the game. Such a tragic loss of a young life :-(

Could make a good case for many of current squad who were with us last season. They all stepped up to the mark. Esp Lee Brown for staying with us when he could have gone and Lee Mansell for his strength and leadership. Macca for similar things and Sinclair and Tom L, in fact most of them perhaps not the best but they gave all last season. And seeing how Tranmere are struggling to impose themselves shows how good this squad was. Going back in history got to be Alfie Biggs or Harold, true legends when the word is overused today.

MR Barry Hayles, built like an Ox, and acted like one too!!! I remember his debut Vs Plymouth, they didn't know what had hit 'em! Of the current squad it has to be Lee Brown, as someone else has said, he doesn't have bad performances. To tell you the truth, I'm surprised he is still here, there can't be that many good left back's can there? Would agree about Hayles. You always felt if he was on the pitch, no matter how bad the situation looked, we were still in with a good chance of winning.

Current squad? Lee Brown. 200 games and not a bad one among them. thought he had a shocker at Wembley. Puddly may have made him nervous to be fair! Lee is very consistent to be fair.

Back on track my personal favourite is Bazza. I grew up in the twerton days so obviously they were the underdog special days but nobody made an impact like Hayles. Ok Chris Dickson scored a hat trick on debut but Bazza ripped the league a new one. Jason Roberts comes close but for shear power, pace and destroying of weak keepers Dime Bar for me. Thanks for the memories Barry my hands will be red raw from clapping on Sunday.

When I was younger I used to always like Wally Walters and The Duke. Lambert would probably be my all time favourite just for his sheer class.
From the current squad it's Tom Lockyer. A proper professional and still young!

Just a bit of fun! Who is everyone's favourite player and why? Mine's Sinclair - he always gives 100% and doesn't seem to give up when the game isn't going well. I think quite a few people are surprised at how much of a quality player he is in this league. Lockyer

The Beard and McChrystal in current squad.
The beard because of his general attitude and work rate but also because he just loves playing football.
McChrystal has slowly become one of my favourites, if you want to man mark a player out of a game he's your man and thoroughly enjoy watching him do so.

Current squad - Mansell, Lockyer and Sinclair, probably in that order.
Years gone by:-
Wally Walters - when did he ever have a bad game? Damn good winger and took a mean free kick Vitalis Astafjevs - Latvian international who gave everything for Rovers Archie Stevens - never got tired of seeing him score Steve Yates - solid at the back Ian Holloway - pure Rovers
