Today is a really sh** day to be a gashead we have been Mugged by a fkin park team again and on our own patch, it doesn't get much worst does it. But we are still back in the league we are even still in the promotion race. We can't do anything about today so lets put it behind us and focus on the league. UTG

Carlisle have a good away form I see yet another defeat unless he changes things radically. Lets start by dropping Sinclair

Carlisle have a good away form I see yet another defeat unless he changes things radically. Lets start by dropping Sinclair Have you started early on the Absinthe today? Trouble is, I kind of agree...watching the match from the Dribuild Terrace I once again thought he played well and had a good game. But watching the match highlights on various sites (and there are various different edits of the 'highlights' available) and he's always going backwards or sideways. Whether it's individual or team coaching (and let's be honest, he's never going to beat 5 defenders and slot it in the corner of the net) he's not as effective as it appears he is when he's on the ball. He's great at winning it back but he's not effective once he has it (and I don't mean trips over his own laces or gives it straight to their centre-forward, I just mean he's not creating chance after chance) When he wins the ball, who's charging forward past him? Nobody. When he's in space on the halfway line looking forward, which attacker is dropping short to receive it? Nobody (or at least nobody he can find). Ironically, the answer to who you would want doing either of those jobs (in this squad) is probably Sinclair himself. So he needs more individual coaching or the team needs more coaching to play around him. Let's not forget it's a big step up for him and effort is great. But effort with no result is pointless.

Agree. Against Notts County he looked way off the pace until about 70 mins. He collected many balls but they all went to Mansell or Leadbitter who then knocked the pass forward.
Thing is our only other solution at the moment is Lines, and whilst he can knock the passes about, he doesnt do the dirty work Sincs does.
Maybe Lines and Sincs in the middle is worth a go?

Lines is (currently) too much Hollywood, Sinclair is too much Industrial. If they could always be in the position the other one should be in they'd probably be a perfect fit!

Didn't we finish with that midfield on Sunday? Not sure what's happened to Lines this season but if I was DC I'd be looking to move him on asap. As far as Sinc's his fantastic challenge in midfield led to Taylor's winner at Cambridge, not sure he can be blamed because our wide men and strikers are so useless. Although with no Lines or Parkes in the team I assume we now have to find a scapegoat elsewhere?
