That not much has been said about the statistics that Rovers committed 8 fouls and Carlisle 12.
Bookings were Rovers 5 And Carlisle 0

Did we really deserve 3 yellows don't think so! Our entire back 4 was booked and Sinclair for dangerous play when in reality the guy ducked to head the ball

One of the worse refs we've had for years given it looked an easy game to ref, both challenges on Sinclair & Parkes warranted cards, plus Easter was fouled virtually in the same way as Parkes fouled when he picked up his card. I can't understand how a ref can dish out 5 cards to one team and none to the other, fortunately none of our players picked up a 2nd yellow.

The linesman was worse than the ref IMO!

All of our bookings were deserved. He just didn't give anything to them when they should have had a few themselves.

One thing that stood out to me yesterday was the fantastic noise created from the blackthorn end. I've been standing there since we've moved to the mem and I sing my heart out every game but I was in a box last night right at the other end next to the tent in box 18 and f**k me hearing the noise bellowing out from that big home end was Dam magnificent and made me so proud to be a Gashead. No wonder away fans often come on here and say that they've always liked us and things like the other lot are a bunch of tossers but we're alright. I don't know how loud the blackthorn was compared to normal because like I said it's the first time in hundreds maybe probably thousands of games that I've been too when I haven't been right in the middle of it. It was my daughters first game , she's two , she loved it and recognised goodnight Irene because it's how I get her to sleep ( by singing it to her) she fell asleep in my arms in the second half and missed both goals but I'm one very proud Gashead tonight and wouldn't swap my club for anything and all I can say to people who say the mem isn't fit for purpose is bullshit and goodnight Irene.

Got to give a shout out to the Carlisle fans too to be fair they had a good turn out and made a fair bit of noise (we were directly opposite them level with penalty area)and it's a long way to come to see your team completely outplayed and they stood strong and loud through out the game. They're obviously used to long trips but their travelling army were pretty impressive. UTG and up the loyal supporters from all clubs.
You can keep your premier league sh**e because the lower leagues is what it's all about. Keep the mem and f**k the soulless all seaters we've got a proper old fashioned ground and I love it !!

Even from the short clips on the highlights the crowd sounded boisterous...,fair play to all that went....sounds like it helped us on to a decent win. More of the same gasheads!

How many cards did he dish out? Never knew a linesman could dish out cards. You learn something new everyday! In theory yes, the linesman/assistant referee can advise the referee on all decisions during the game. In practise though they stick to getting offside decisions wrong and miss their fullback using an actual scythe on our winger who's just nutmegged them....and don't get me started on where they *actually* make players take throw-ins from....

The ref wasn't even looking at the Sinclair one it happened behind him!
