Herewith my synopsis of the questions and answers.
Consortium/|Investor and Sainsbury Appeal I have covered that on a separate message.
Confidentiality Clause GD asked a very clever question. He asked how many confidentiality clauses were in force. NH said about 12. GD asked if there were any recent ones. NH paused before answering, then said two. GD asked a very clever question. He asked how many confidentiality clauses were in force. NH said about 12. GD asked if there were any recent ones. NH paused before answering, then said two. I could see where GD was coming from but after the meeting NH told me that he could not understand what GD was getting at. Perhaps that is one of the differences between GD and NH
Local Amenity Application He said it was nonsense. He has already had some legal advice. This is just a delaying tactic. This could delay selling The Mem by 6 weeks and 6 months. Even if someone can raise a similar figure to that offer to buy The Mem, we DO NOT have to sell it to that group
Sainsbury Advice On Appeal
NH is still confident we can win. It is £28m or nothing. There is no halfway house. BRFC and Sainsbury’s legal team will appear in Court arguing whether the original decision was correct or not. No mention was made of how quickly a decision will be granted. It is not expected that Sainsbury will make “an offer” on the steps of the Court.
Ration of Sainsbury Court Wins
NH did comment but I’m afraid I have forgotten what he said. Sorry it’s old age. He did say that there are other land owners in a similar position and are awaiting the outcome. I know there was a surveyor from an Asda “build” who was at Court to advise his cleint how the case went. Perhaps some other attendees can answer this question.
Thanks to DC For Giving Us Back Pride
A Gashead thanked DC for giving us back some pride. This was well received
Loans, Any More
Again, a bit flaky on his reply. I think he said that there have been no further loans and apart from the MSP loan, which is secured against the Stadium, all the other loans, to Directors are unsecured
UWE Contract With BRFC
NH said there is no current Contract in force for BRFC to build a stadium at UWE
Any Investment Must be For The Long Term
NH said that any potential investor MUST be able to invest for the long term, not just in the short term
Jamie Lucas
DC said that Jamie Lucas had done well whilst out on loan but I think he was hinting that in his opinion he is not in the postion to replace experienced strikers already in the team. He added that Blissett had gone on loan and from his comment it seemed to me he will not be returning.
PR Advisor
Comment was made by a Gashead that the PR Advisor seemed to have disappeared. NH appeared to say that there has been nothing of substance for his to report. My assumption – he was brought to deal with any publicity for the UWE project.
Profits – BRSC
BB said that profits had increased by 82% and that they have tried to sell small value items for kids.
Sadabell
BB gave a briefing on how this friendly came about. He apologised that John Keys was not mentioned in the press release. DC said he was up for the trip. Apparently Steve Yates and A N Other will visit the area in the next few weeks. BB said that Sadabell will be letting BRFC use their team coach, that Sadabell will put together details of travel, hotels etc. Players Contracts Easter and Sinclair are the only players that have a contract beyond the end of this season. DC did confirm that NO player had an option on their existing contract.
Goal Keeper
DC said that Nicholls loan will not be extended. He hinted he was not happy with his ability at “shot stopping”. Personally, I think he should not have said that in an open meeting, especially if Nicholls is expected to be the GK for the rest of his loan.
Corners, Free Kicks
DC agreed this is an area in which we have not been great. He stated that we have had around 150 corners and scored one goal from a corner. He confirmed that they DID practice these
Team Changes Even When We Win
Concern was raise why so many team changes, even when we win games. DC said he makes changes depending on the opposition and the tactics they may adopt.
Lines Easter Playing To Deep
I raised this question because a lot of supporters around me complain that these two players appear to be far too deep. I’ve often said to fellow supporters that it is no good complaining unless you know the instructions from the manager to the player. DC said that Lines has player too deep and this was not the instructions. That is why he dropped him for 5/6 games.
I think that covers about everything. I’m sure I may have omitted something, please feel free to correct anything.

Thank you very much indeed for this severncider.
Quick question, in the first paragraph, is the below meant to read:
"I could see where GD was coming from but after the meeting NH told me that he could NOT understand that GD was getting at."
If not then I am a tad confused at what you are trying to say there. But then it is early in the morning so I may just be being daft!
Interesting comments regarding Lines too. I'd like us to try and get rid if at all possible in January as he's bound to be on an excellent wage and simply isn't good enough IMO.

I have altered the original.

While I'm glad we're not handing out 3 year contracts willy nilly any more, surely it's worrying that only Easter and Sinclair are contracted beyond the end of the season!?

Easter and Sinclair are the only players that have a contract beyond the end of this season. DC did confirm that NO player had an option on their existing contract.
I'm surprised at this, because according to NH, Easter was signed on an 18 month contract on 12 January 2015. Anybody know when and why it was extended? www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/rovers-sign-jermaine-easter-2197974.aspx (Relevant quote is about 2/3 of the way down)

Found this - Easter signs for BRFC
So if he signed in January 2015 he's here until June 2016.
It looks like DC has got this wrong as he added that no player has an option on their contract

According to my mate's mate, his daughter has a mate who is friends with this boy who's dad's mate knows a mate who loves a thatcher's cider. They don't have a clue about Easter's contract though.

Also found this from BRFC website - BRFC Reports Easter Signing
This says 18 months plus an option. I think DC needs to ask TW what the exact length and terms of Easter's contract are.
Perhaps DC's reply includes the one year option which he said no-one has.

Surely we need to get Matty Signed up quickly...
Did DC say anything about current negotiations?

Before the Q & A, I had a question for BRSC about their finances.
It was:-
"What do BRSC intend to do with the proceeds of the sale of Two Mile Hill and what rent are we now paying on this property.”
1 - I knew the answer to the first part of the question but wanted it out in the public domain. The answer was the proceeds of the sale after Capital Gains tax and some other costs will be used to fit out the BRSC room/bar in the new stadium.
2 – There is a lease for six years, with a break point at three years and the rent is £5,200 a year, £100 a week which appears cheap to keep a presence in Kingswood.
Later we discussed the 50/50 draw, which generates about £25k for the Supporters Club each season. One thing I did not know and have never heard of is that whatever sum BRSC generate in the 50/50 draw, it is matched by a “football league” donation of the same amount. I said if that was the case, perhaps that needed to be published regularly to convince more people to buy tickets as several at the AGM also had never known this.

If Easter has an option I was thinking we need to get Easter dropped quickly otherwise he'll just be another Mildenhall next season?

Surely we need to get Matty Signed up quickly... Did DC say anything about current negotiations? Yes, he said that negotiations would commence with the players he wished to keep.
No date was given but I assume that talks will be from the start of the new year.
I believe the rules are that any player out of contract at the end of this season, can start talking to other clubs from the 1st January.

The one question I did not ask before, during or after the Q & A was "Nick, when are you going to have a Q & A with all the supporters" I apologise for overlooking this.

In that case: Taylor Locks Brown Parkes J Clarke Leadbitter Need contracts quickly.. Not sure I'd be rushing to offer Parkes a contact! But it seems madness "the best striker" in Div 2 and one of their best young defenders could leave on free transfers in the summer. Perhaps the Chairman doesn't plan on being here next season??

Thanks for the write up. Some interesting bits in there. The players out of contract is a bit of a worry especially Brown, locks, Taylor(over the past few weeks) could play at a higher level. On the other hand they are all playing for a new deal

Before the AGM, NH arrived and came straight over to three of us and had a wide ranging discussion and answered all the questions we asked, we did not ask him the questions we had prepared. After the AGM he came up to me and spent about 10 mins answering some more questions, nothing appeared to be off limits. He said:- 1 – The MSP loan is not being repaid in instalments. The interest is being added to the capital sum and will be repaid at the latest by the third quarter day of 2016 which I take to be 29th September 2016. So you work out the total cost, £2.6m @ 1.2% per month over a maximum period of 21 months. He did say that if the sale of The Mem went through earlier it would be repaid immediately and the balance of the sale would be used to build UWE. 2 – The takeover/consortium talks are advanced and going well. I have no idea if the investors NH is talking about is the Consortium that several of us have been talking about. They may be or maybe not separate entities. 3 – As and when the investment/takeover takes place he did say that although he wasn’t sure, he didn’t believe any shares would be available to fans. I find that difficult to accept if true, as it would bar fans from buying shares and attending any AGM. Also, BRSC would have no stake in BRFC. 4 – The funding will be in place, no matter what decision is made by the Appeal Court AND that the stadium will be for 21,700 as originally planned and fully fitted out 5 – He indicated that as and when the talks are successfully concluded, that a start date for building UWE could be between February and June 2016. The first date seems very ambitious, even if an investment/takeover is completed by the end of December 2015. I have said many times, quoting dates is a nonsense as it tends to “bit you on the bum” when the date quoted fails to materialise. 6 – We asked “what if two offers are received and they both met the financial requirements, ie £40+ million in a bank account acceptable to BRFC, would an EGM be called to enable Shareholders to consider both offers and give their views?”. NH said not necessarily. I found this answer amazing, yes NH holds around 54% of the voting shares so will always win in a “card vote”. However does he not owe a duty to all the Shareholders to let them know what has been offered and for them to have their say. NH seems to think not. I think that covers everything else.

Surely we need to get Matty Signed up quickly... Did DC say anything about current negotiations? Hi - myself and Parrot had a lengthly discussion with Darrell pre-meeting and we raised this - DC said he was concerned and expected Taylor to attract interest in January - However he said that in his opinion he likes players on short deals to keep them hungry - While realising there is a risk we may lose some players who either move on or get bought he considered it the way he liked to work - his thinking being that regularly players get in a comfort zone if they have longer contracts and he liked to avoid this (he did the same at Salisbury) - UTG
