I always knew he'd come back. Welcome Lennie. Not as fast as he was, though, I bet.

Wonder who's gonna make way in the match day squad? Is he gonna start or be on the bench? Either way somebody has to drop out somewhere

Article on the OS states that he's taken a big drop in wages but that if we get promoted he automatically gets a one-year contract extension. f**k it. If he gets us promoted, I'll throw in my wife. And I've got about thirty quid, too. He'll settle for £15 if you keep the wife.

Great signing. The Monkhouse replacement we've been crying out for since August. I like that he took a wage cut to join as well, shows that he wasn't happy sitting on his arse collecting a paycheck, that he wants to play above all else.

Most recently was frozen out though, mainly bench appearances.

We've got to where we are now without a "monkhouse" so quite why we need one I don't know. I'm sure it's only on here that people bark on about him. It's bizarre. I wonder what our new guy would say if one of you monkhouse admirers told him he'd come here to replicate him? Has Lee Brown been that bad without monkhouse? Have we missed him? Why the repeat references folks? That was then.

He's great.

I don't get this last night's thread clearly suggested why he had to leave Shrewsbury, now posters are saying it's great he's prepared to take a pay cut to play for us!!
If he's anywhere near as good as he's been in the recent past then he'll be a very good signing, with left wing being our obvious weakness since Monkey departed, the big question now is who'll leave Lines, Gosling or Montano to make room for him in the squad?

Thought he was always a right sided player but could be wrong on that. Personally would be playing him central midfield with Mansell and Sinclair but would leave out one of the wingers in 4-4-2. It was a shame we couldn't have gotthe player Northampton got from Shrewsbury as well-James Collins.

That would be my obvious choice but you never know, might drop Lines off the bench and leave Ollie in the 11, might start Lawrence and drop Ollie to the bench.... Might do something else! Lol dropping Ollie is what I would do tho

Lol dropping Ollie is what I would do tho Ollie was excellent last week with Mansell and Sinclair. He would be the obvious choice to drop but it would be harsh on the lad. Will he go straight into the starting lineup? Presumably he will go into he match day squad in place of Gaffney so no one will be dropped out.

Oli Clarke has been getting more minutes than Lines recently. Surely you would think players not getting game time drop off the bench first?

Very harsh to drop Clarke after last match but he is the obvious choice. If we stick with formation i wouldn't be surprised to see Lawrence in for Clarke. If we go 4-4-2 I would imagine Clarke still drops out and we have Lawrence on the wing + Bodin/Gos/Montano on the other wing.
Personally I would go with the 3-5-2 as we looked excellent on Saturday. Who partners Taylor is the main concern now - i'd go with Easter. Amazingly with Gaffers in the side, we actually seemed to play fewer long balls, and those long balls were almost always in behind, something which Easter or Harrison should also be able to look to get on to. Wouldn't mind seeing Lucas get some game time if we're ahead (or behind) by a couple.

Forgot about Gaffney coming out tbh, so Easter starts and Lawrence on the bench most likely, I don't recall Clarke being excellent, think that's a bit of a push imo but he wasn't bad... Like most of the time lol
