Some appointments do need to be made soon, the workload would be a bit much on Hamer and an owner who wouldn't be here too much. CS would make sense given he joined the board around the time that discussions began between the two parties. Unfortunately, Toni Watola has been offered the position of CEO. Jesus wept.

I wonder if John Laycock may be tempted considering he is linked with UWE.
Also funded City's Academy so maybe he could come in with a view to looking at our Youth set-up.

I'd put money on him not being here for the start of next season.
I assume he is being taken through the books with the new Financial Director, with a fine toothcomb.

We have decent coaches in our youth setup, funding will allow improved facilities which will allow us to attract more local talent as opposed to them traveling to premiersh*t clubs
Just my opinion of course

a commercial/Marketing director would be a number one priority to me. Something we've never had before and desperately need to compete in modern football. No more running out of kids shirts on Open Days.. Ian Holtby does part of that job, would that mean he will be replaced? The bar bill would go down if they did

But, as you say having better facilities will increase the numbers wanting to join BRFC. That's a huge priority for me, as the youth and training facilities aren't up to scratch if we want to progress. Better facilities and more ££££ means more roles available for coaches and technical staff anyway, which can only be good news given DC/whoever the manager is in 5 years will have control over that.

However, isn't Watola paid staff anyway? Not like he was just another director. So I imagine its a 'keep him on till the end of the season' job and replace him when his ineptitude is discovered.

The best that attend are Southamptons for the taking and Yeovil get the rest. Totally out of order in my eyes

Santa's Grotto should be good this year? Can't we keep the old one I particularly liked the two bright orange traffic cones next to the side entrance to the 'grotto' stopping the pesky kids from getting in. I hope it stays.

Is this a strange coincidence. Colin Sexton was appointed to the Board on 15th September. The new owners say they started talks in September. So the question is, did CS introduce them or is this a coincidence with the dates? Not that it makes any difference. If CS did introduce them, has he received a Finders Fee? Steve Hamer said a close friend had introduced him to BRFC & as he was then actively looking for a club for Mr Al-Qadi. That close friend almost certainly Colin!

Someone had to show the new guys around, give then the lowdown, sort out the Bank account signatories and where the cheque books, records, outstanding invoices are. They need a bit of continuity for a while. He will be gone by September! As will anyone else who doesn't step up to the mark pretty quickly.

Surely there is some rule being broken there.

That's another thing to mention, no more of this circus style multiple jobs thing that seems to happen at Rovers!
