Not claiming to be ITK or anything but have just received a message from a friend claiming that Mr. Sextone will be re-appointed to the board today, allegedly he was the link between the Al-Qadi family and the club, and he also said "Sextone is also very friendly with the Mansoor family who own Man City......draw from that what you will"
Anybody else heard anything about this?

Some appointments do need to be made soon, the workload would be a bit much on Hamer and an owner who wouldn't be here too much.
CS would make sense given he joined the board around the time that discussions began between the two parties.

I did wonder why Nick had got Colin Sexstone in when he must have known there was a strong likelihood the club was being sold lock, stock and barrel pretty soon and all of the board would therefore step down anyway. Makes sense if Colin made the link to Hamer and then to the Al Qadis.

Talking of a Commercial Director........... Do you reckon we'll see a couple of pre-season games in Jordan? The weather should be nice. Plus, does anyone know the number to ring to book Supporters Club discounted holidays in Jordan?

You can then trade her for 5 heard camels

We struggle with organising coach transport down to Cheltenham in pre season let alone discounted flights!

Our new Chairman said on Twentyman on Friday night that new board members would be welcomed and in reply to Twentymans question about them bringing money with them, the answer was of course. Geoff then asked them if they would be interested to hear from any prospective interested parties and the reply was no, they already have that in hand or other words to that effect. Steve Hamer then added we can expect to hear new Director announcements from today on.

EasyJet fly from Gatwick to Amman, I went there for my 65th birthday and their flights were half the price of BA or Royal Jordanian Airlines.
It was HOT in March so it must be VERY HOT in June and July

a commercial/Marketing director would be a number one priority to me. Something we've never had before and desperately need to compete in modern football.
No more running out of kids shirts on Open Days..

Is this a strange coincidence.
Colin Sexton was appointed to the Board on 15th September. The new owners say they started talks in September. So the question is, did CS introduce them or is this a coincidence with the dates?
Not that it makes any difference. If CS did introduce them, has he received a Finders Fee?

It would be a shame if he did leave. Ian is a lovely bloke, is Rovers through and through and has been touted by other clubs in the past to run their stadium.
