Good ground that can cater for a large 'pay on the day' Rovers following!!

Also, a cautionary tale for us and Wael. Their owner spent £20m on them in the last 6 years, only to have them underachieve like a McGhee signing, and today he f**ked off.

Is that when Sven managed them? No idea of when, exactly, but their forum seems to think he spent £20m while he was there. eta: Istm, Sven was appointed by the previous regime, a dodgy Qatari consortium! The new guy's (Ray Trew) signal that he was gonna waste a load of money was his first managerial appointment, Steve Cotterill.

Gonna give this one a miss. Plenty of games lately and with many going to Portsmouth and Wycombe away, this is sandwiched right in between two midweek home games so I can imagine some others might give this a miss too.

Took the wrong route. they, like many other 'big' old clubs, need to reach ground zero before they can rise again. Being in the shadow of their neighbours, having a big ground, and being original members of the FL. also the oldest football team in the world at professional level!! that is some serious baggage.

I was just thinking that pretty much everything Wael said about the reasons he chose Rovers could apply (and more!) to Notts County. What footballing traditionalist wouldn't want to own the oldest team in the world?

The Notts County game has been desinated as a Gas Invasion match. What we need to do is get as many gasheads at Meadow Lane as they can accommentate. The away ends hold approx 4,000 seats. Be nice if we can fill the whole end. so come on everyone, encourage others to join us on the great day, Saturday March 5th. BE THERE!!!!!

And cheating b**tards of course!!

We'll do very, very well to get anywhere near half that. true. sadly it's the right ground but at the wrong time and place... if it was later in the season and a bit closer we'd take a lot, but not at the moment, with a run of away matches that lots of gas have gone to, plus our only two midweek home games of 2016. shame because both Cobblers & Newport have a small capacity at moment (both home and away), so we'll have disappointed gasheads for both of those games, yet a massive away end at County going begging.

I think we may be surprised at how many go - especially if we get a good result Saturday. I know of several groups making a w/end of it with Nottingham having a good reputation for night life!!
