I think there will be a huge overhaul of the squad next season. With all bar 3 out if contract and no new deals being signed we could have exciting times ahead I'll be more excited if we only lose the 3or 4 worst players and bring in 3 or 4 more good players. That's our best chance of progression I reckon.

Tom has the potential to be something special at this club and I hope he stays with us to witness something special. As DC stated before Wael arrived we don't need to sell our best players. It's how we handle players like Tom which shows whether we have ambition or not. For too long we have sold our best players just when we were on the cusp of building something. Obviously it's down to Tom, but every sensible effort must be made to keep him. He has the footballing and personal qualities which make him the sort of person you would want to build a team around.

Having met and had a chat with Toms father on Tuesday night, Its easy to see where Tom gets his great qualities from. Apparently his Father takes a keen interest in this forum but young Tom has banned him from joining up and posting here.

Why would Tom want to go to a cash-strapped club like Leeds? 2 divisions higher ?

Leeds is a basket case of a club.
There are a lot better clubs in the Championship to go to.
I really hope he stays to see what we could become with him as a central part of it.

I totally agree that young Tom should stay and with 4-5 quality signings in the summer I also feel we are on the verge of a special time in our future history...
I wont name the 4-5 players I would not offer new contracts too!

I wont name the 4-5 players I would not offer new contracts too! I would suggest Tom waits and see's , a defender who performs well can stay at a club his whole career if he wishes . It will depend on Toms ambitions in the game and whether the club can match those ambitions. A player spends most of his 'work' time at the training facilities ,so BRFC having good facilities will help sway his decision and those of players that the club wish to sign. DC signing a good centre back for him to play alongside and create a good understanding with could be a clincher (?) If BRFC think Tom can play at the highest level they have to do all they can to keep him.
