About the judgement yesterday?
Following on from the TW interview thread, again he is getting a hard time about his interview and the content thereof. But what were you expecting or wanting him to say? What information did you think he had if you wanted him or expected him to say more? Do you think the club should have given him more information to tell us fans? Was the lack of information given his fault or that of our new chairman/owners?
Just interested as TW seems to get a panning no matter what he says or does and as the new regime see him working along side him I wondered if it was possible for fans to wipe the slate clean with him and see how he performs with Wael and company? Personally, I have no axe to grind with him, he wasnt to blame for our relegation out of the league as much he cant take much credit for getting us back in. So why the continued hate?

It the balmy world of football though, he continues to draw a wage from our club and maybe even a promotion. The man has been proven in lacking business acumen whilst at our club.

If they insist on keeping him I'd rather it was in a behind the scenes role. He brings WAY too much baggage to ever get a fair crack of the whip. In answer to the OP I would rather not have him at all but I would have been happier that he had not said that our lawyers want us to appeal again. I'd rather he hadn't mentioned plan B. I'd rather he hadn't laughed when saying he knew he'd get panned by the fans for saying plan B. I'd rather he had not mentioned plan B at all if all he was going to say was that it was confidential. A simple: Here is the result. With regret we have to accept it and we will move forward now with plans to take the club forward and SH and WAQ are currently with financiers today to this end. That would have been ok.

What about the owners saying we didnt need the court case result? I am trying to be subjective in that I feel for him to some degree, no matter what he said was going to be wrong because it came from TW, I wonder what the opinion would have been if it had come from Steve Hamer? But also I am objective as I recognise that he has made a couple of gaffs, but none that are entirely unforgivable. There are people associated with the club that have done a lot worse.

I'd have personnally like TW or SH to say they accept the Appeal court's verdict and now consider the case closed, not talked nonsense about further Appeals & Plan B's. I'd also like them to have confirmed the verdict had no bearing on the new stadium plans.

I'd also like them to have confirmed the verdict had no bearing on the new stadium plans. Agree with that. The absence of a proper club statement +24 hrs after the verdict is poor IMO. I know the owner/chairman has commented in the past that the appeal doesn't have a bearing on the stadium plans, but it's human nature to want a little reassurance now the court battle has officially failed. Some people read in the press phrases such as "devastating blow" for the club and begin to worry. If plans for the stadium are still chugging along nicely and all's good, then why not just say so?

"I'm Tony Watola and all the court case has been a sham to conceal the 100,000 seater stadium and worlds finest training facilities we have built and hidden 6 inches below the surface of the mem"

But not to make a statment to the press on behalf of the club? Although he was clearly only "damaged goods" in NH's view anyway.

Topper, all I am saying is, if the new owners are big enough to move on with old baggage I am sure forum members can do the same ?
